Jane Seymour advises women to stop pretending to be young when they are old.
Currently, women are experiencing a surge of success in the entertainment industry, according to Seymour.
Jane Seymour is an advocate for women embracing their age.
At the Women in Entertainment Gala hosted by The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday night, Seymour shared her 60-year experience in the entertainment industry and expressed her view that women are currently seizing their opportunity to excel in television and film production.
Seymour advised People magazine not to underestimate the importance of maintaining a balance between how one presents themselves and their behavior, as it can greatly impact their overall perception.
I've never given up, and now I have my own series again at the age of 70. So, I advise women not to give up and to be authentic. Don't pretend to be 20 when you're 70. Be 70.
Seymour could not be prouder of women in today's entertainment world.

She expressed her gratitude for the honor, stating that it was a wonderful feeling because she had been working in entertainment for 60 years, and now she sees women having their moment and telling their stories.
At Wednesday night's gala, Selena Gomez was honored with the Equity in Entertainment Award, specifically coming to mind for Seymour.
"Last night, Seymour watched Selena's movie "Emilia Perez" and was blown away by the performances of all the actors. He praised the film for showcasing the talents of young actresses and commended Selena for her exceptional performance. He also mentioned that she was being honored today for her outstanding work."
In her 70s, Seymour has no plans to slow down. She shared with People that her son, Sean, is getting married in 2025, and she'll begin filming her next movie in England in January.
Seymour stated, "My life is filled with joy due to the presence of my grandchildren, children, and an incredible extended family."
The former "Dr. Quinn" star has previously spoken about aging gracefully.
In 2020, Seymour advised women on feeling comfortable in their own skin as they age, sharing her thoughts with Planet Chronicle Digital.
"Strive for both physical and emotional health, as health is not only beauty but also crucial for emotional well-being. My mother, who lived to be 92, was a shining example of this. Despite losing a kidney at seven, surviving a concentration camp for three and a half years, and other hardships, she remained radiantly beautiful."
Seymour stated that, to his knowledge, she never exercised in her life and ate all the wrong things. However, she spent her life with an open heart, helping others. She often said that no matter how bad things seemed, there was always someone worse off, and that a simple phone call or cup of tea could make a big difference. Despite not knowing what impact she had on others, she felt fulfilled knowing that she could help.
