Jana Kramer's spouse will never permit her to depict sex scenes like those in 'Yellowstone'.
In July, Allan Russell and Jana Kramer got married.
Jana Kramer and her spouse, Allan Russell, openly discussed their comfort level with filming sex scenes during their marriage.
Russell joined his wife on the actress' "Whine Down" podcast to discuss a recent "Yellowstone" episode they watched together.
In the last episode of the popular Western series, Wes Bentley and Dawn Olivieri shot a passionate sex scene, which sparked a discussion between Kramer and Russell.
"I will never, ever, ever allow a man to be that close to you like that," Russell, a Scottish former professional soccer player, told his wife. "Never."
If Taylor Sheridan auditions me and books a role with that scene, what would I do?
"There's not part of me that will ever, ever, ever allow that, ever, for a man to be that close to you like that. Never." — Allan Russell
""I will be phoning the producers and threatening them, 'You need to change that scene. Well, this is for the good of your health, you need to change this scene,'" Russell replied."
Kramer queried her spouse about whether he would expect her to decline any job opportunity if a sex scene was necessary.
"I wouldn't allow you to perform that scene because it's not suitable for a healthy marriage. As a man who isn't involved in the acting industry, it would be challenging to execute that role effectively. Therefore, based on my experience and knowledge, I believe it's not advisable."
"We always flip it, so let's do it again," Russell said.
Kramer made it clear that she would be okay with Russell filming an intimate scene.
"Kramer stated that he has had experience dating actors who had to perform sex scenes, and it was the most uncomfortable thing he had ever experienced. He gave an example of a scene on Entourage where he had to give Turtle a hand job, which he found uncomfortable as he was rubbing his leg and the motion of it was not sexy."
Kramer recounted instances of filming intimate scenes with co-stars, such as Stephen Colletti in "One Tree Hill" and Austin Nichols in "Gaslit By My Husband."
"I don't care. I don't care. If you're locking eyes with another man and you're f---ing naked, I don't care." Russell began.
"Kramer interjected, stating, "Although you're not completely exposed, you can see everything. I wore lingerie for the 'Gaslit' episode.""
"I don't need to be reminded," Russell joked. "Please stop bringing these things up."
In July, the couple got married but they still argued on-air until Kramer said, "I can't win."
"You can't win, so don't try," Russell replied.
