James Van Der Beek failed to inform his brain about striptease.
Anthony Anderson, Taye Diggs, Bruno Tonioli, and Tyler Posey are joined by a 'Dawson's Creek' star for 'The Real Full Monty'.
James Van Der Beek was immediately interested in joining "The Real Full Monty," which involved stripping down.
He knew immediately he would participate in the campaign to raise awareness for early cancer detection and reduce the stigma for men to get checked, as he saw it was for this purpose.
He admitted that he didn't inform his brain until the last minute because it would have tense-gripped the whole journey.
Van Der Beek, who recently announced his colorectal cancer diagnosis, stated that he is currently doing great.
"On Monday night, Fox is airing "The Real Full Monty," which features Van Der Beek, Bruno Tonioli, Tyler Posey, Taye Diggs, Chris Jones, and Anthony Anderson, who also executive produced the special, stripping down to raise awareness for prostate, testicular, and colorectal cancer testing, inspired by the 1997 British comedy "The Full Monty.""
James Van Der Beek failed to inform his brain about striptease.
"Tyler Posey initially responded with "I would love to," but as an actor, he expected there to be something to cover up in nude scenes. However, the response was "no, no, no, no, no.""
Posey was teased by Anderson, who said, "No, Tyler, there won't be a sock!"
Posey stated, "I expected that to be the end. However, I heard 'no,' which resulted in a blend of excitement and fear. I knew I had to proceed with the plan, and I felt honored."
We created something we're proud of for a great cause. We hope you'll step outside your comfort zone and get tested and do the right thing, just like we did.
The cast of 'The Real Full Monty' reveals the intense effort they put into mastering striptease for a cancer awareness campaign.
Anderson joked, "I'm just curious if the network will permit us to repeat this after they view this version."

Mandy Moore, the Emmy-winning choreographer, was credited by him for keeping the guys focused on the show.
"Anderson remarked, "Imagine Mandy Moore attempting to manage six grown men removing their clothes in front of each other and her, all while ensuring accuracy.""
Bruno Tonioli, a "Dancing with the Stars" judge, stated that Moore was "a saint" and confessed that even for him, a former professional dancer, the props and costumes were difficult.
"Those pants were terrible. Oh my God, those pants. They always come off at different times and in different places."
Bruno's problem has always been teasing, according to Anderson.
He retorted, "If I had started without clothes, it would have been simpler!"
Tonioli was ready to strip down immediately, as the "Blackish" star joked about it.
"Bruno was the first to strip butt naked during our first rehearsal," Anderson stated. "I was taken aback, as I had only just introduced myself, saying 'Hi, I'm Anthony,' and Bruno was completely exposed. It was quite a shock, I must say."
James Van Der Beek stunned 'The Real Full Monty' castmates with a surprise appearance.
Diggs acknowledged that they had to catch up and Van Der Beek praised Tonioli for fearlessly leading the way.
The guys all got into the groove for the dance as they trained.
Posey revealed that twirling his tie over his head was the move that helped him get into the rhythm for the striptease.
He remarked, "That general movement gave me the impression that we were all in harmony."
"Diggs remarked, 'It's like an old-school strip tease,'" he said.
On Monday night, Fox airs a two-hour special titled "The Real Full Monty," which will also be available for streaming on Hulu the following day.
