Jack Nicholson appears in a new photo with his daughter after a year of absence.
Lorraine shared a warm embrace with her father, the Shining' star, who was last photographed at a Los Angeles Lakers game in May 2023.
Jack Nicholson is kicking off 2025 with those who matter most.
On Tuesday, the Academy Award-winning actor, 87, was showcased in his daughter Lorraine's Instagram post, which emphasized some of her standout moments from 2024.
She captioned her post with "The giving season" and included a carousel of pictures.
One photo in particular showed Lorraine and Jack embracing in a warm hug.
Over a year has passed since the last time Jack was seen in a photo.
In May 2023, a photo of "The Shining" actor was taken at a Los Angeles Lakers game.
Jack's son, Ray, revealed details about his relationship with his renowned father last year.
"The actor who starred in "Smile 2" joked on "CBS Mornings" that his mother said, "Ray, you were such a beautiful boy, and then you started to look like your father.""
He revealed to the outlet that he and his Oscar-winning father have limited conversations about acting.
Ray said, "I think I might cling to his word too much. I believe it's crucial for me to discover my path."
At the premiere for "Smile 2," Ray revealed that he and his father are "two distinct individuals."
The 32-year-old stated, "I was born in 1992, he was born in 1937. Although the things that affect me may not affect him, I love him and he's my inspiration. I ate dinner with him every night and studied it to become a better human being. Therefore, it's natural for us to be similar."
Ray is the elder of two children he shares with his former partner, Rebecca Broussard. His younger sister is Lorraine.
Nicholson reportedly has four other children: Jennifer Nicholson, Caleb Goddard, Honey Hollman, and Tessa Gourin.
