In jail for the first time during Christmas, Sean 'Diddy' Combs enjoys a basketball tournament and a festive meal.
A federal judge rejected Diddy's third attempt at bail during a court hearing as he awaits trial for sex trafficking.
Sean "Diddy" Combs' first Christmas in prison will include a basketball tournament, games, and a holiday feast.
Diddy, the "I'll Be Missing You" singer, has been in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since September, awaiting his May federal trial for alleged racketeering and sex trafficking.
A spokesperson for MDC Brooklyn confirmed to Planet Chronicle Digital that Combs, 55, and his fellow inmates can participate in card games, dominoes, soccer, and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament.
On Christmas day, Diddy's holiday meal will include a baked Cornish hen, macaroni and cheese, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, and a special dessert.
However, the lunch option is subject to change.
He has spent his second holiday in jail, having been incarcerated during Thanksgiving as well.
Though coffee was available earlier that week, it wasn't included on the breakfast menu which offered fruit, cereal, breakfast pastries, and skim milk.
The Thanksgiving meal for Combs and his fellow inmates consisted of a turkey roast, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, dinner rolls, and margarine. Assorted holiday pies were available for dessert, and inmates could choose a meatless option if desired, such as hot and sour tofu.
The meal was more straightforward, featuring peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, potato chips, whole wheat bread, fruit, and a beverage choice.
Diddy was at the Metropolitan Detention Center on his birthday, Nov. 4, this year.
On his big day, he had the same breakfast, a pasta and salad option for lunch, and a choice of chicken or tofu fried rice for dinner.
On Sept. 17, an indictment was unsealed, accusing Combs of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. If convicted, he could receive a minimum of 15 years in prison or a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
It is alleged by authorities that Combs operated a criminal enterprise through his businesses, including Bad Boy Entertainment, Combs Enterprises, and Combs Global, among others. The unsealed indictment obtained by Planet Chronicle Digital states that Combs used "firearms, threats of violence, coercion, and verbal, emotional, physical, and sexual abuse" to fulfill his sexual desires.
The disgraced music mogul has made three attempts to be released from jail pending trial, with his most recent request being denied on Nov. 27. Despite offering up to $50 million to wait for his trial from his home on Star Island, prosecutors deemed Diddy a threat to witnesses and victims.
Planet Chronicle Digital's Elizabeth Stanton contributed to this report.
