Ian Ziering, known for his role on '90210,' shares that it's challenging to keep kids grounded in today's world.
Ian Ziering's ex-wife, Erin Ludwig, is the mother of his two daughters.
Ian Ziering, known for his role in "Beverly Hills, 90210," is struggling to keep his daughters grounded in today's world, despite his early success in Hollywood.
Ziering, who has two daughters with ex-wife Erin Ludwig, said at the Los Angeles Mission Easter Celebration that raising children in a digital world has its drawbacks.
""Keeping young girls grounded is difficult in this environment due to social media and the fragmented television landscape where they can easily access content on their devices," he stated."
Ian stated that while he can't control what his daughters view online, he can attempt to provide context for them.
Putting things into context is the only way for me to handle the different devils that come with each level. I can't stop or protect them from what they're exposed to. There's no way around it.
Ian Ziering, known for his role on '90210,' claims that Hollywood makes it challenging to maintain a grounded upbringing for children.
"I will put the situation into context and do my best. I hope that, in the future, their mom and I have done enough to help them make smart decisions that will lead to success and inspire others to do the same," Ziering said.
Ian promises to have a "Plan B" in place for his daughters, Mia and Penna, if they want to follow in his footsteps and pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
"My daughter, Penna, is quite dramatic and enjoys participating in school plays. If her passion for drama leads to a career in the entertainment industry, I will support her wholeheartedly."
Mia, Ziering's oldest daughter, differs from her younger sister.
""Mia, my other one, enjoys music and architecture. She possesses a distinct set of skills. I'll support whatever she likes, but I'll ensure they have a backup plan, regardless of their choice," he stated."
On March 29, during the Easter Sunday celebration at the Los Angeles Mission, Ian spoke to Planet Chronicle Digital while preparing meals for the homeless with his daughters, Denise Richards and Nick Cannon.
Ziering views his act of service as a way to spend some of the "celebrity capital" he has accumulated throughout his career.
Ian Ziering, known for his role on '90210,' thinks it's crucial to give back.
"I believe it's crucial to give back. Even if I wasn't a celebrity, I would still be here. I'm not comfortable with that title," he stated. "However, recognizing this, it's an excellent way to be a role model for some and an inspiration for others. Demonstrate that living a life of service, even a small act of giving back, is highly rewarding. It's so admirable and meaningful to those who receive it."
On the holiday, Ziering's daughters experienced "gratitude, empathy, and appreciation" because they were with him.
"Ian stated that this experience is exceptional for numerous reasons and everyone should participate."
