Before the American Cinematheque Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday night, Helen revealed to Planet Chronicle Digital that there are "several" roles she wishes she had accepted.
""I regret not taking on a few roles, but I've made mistakes and some I shouldn't have done. We all make mistakes," Mirren said."
At the gala, Harrison Ford presented Mirren with a lifetime achievement award for her work in "1923."
According to Mirren, receiving this award signifies her acceptance into the American film industry.

Mirren stated that for a long time, she dreamed of achieving success as a small stage actress in London. However, she never imagined that she would have the opportunities and recognition she has had in America.
"I was completely taken aback when I received this recognition. I never expected to be given such accolades, so I am incredibly proud and not at all humble."
Taylor Hackford was equally proud of his wife.
""My wife always wins awards, and I'm always amazed by her class. She's incredibly talented and real, and tonight's award is no exception," Hackford joked to Planet Chronicle Digital."
Since 1997, Mirren has been married to Hackford, who was once the president of the Directors Guild of America.
Helen Mirren reveals that she never expected the abundance of acting opportunities she would encounter in the United States.
Every time Mirren wins an award, her husband is most proud of the speeches she gives.
"She never, ever repeats a speech," he said.
At the American Cinematheque Awards, Mirren delivered her speech while Helen tore up her AI-generated speech.
She was deeply humbled and honored to accept the extraordinary award for a lifetime devoted to the craft of acting, she said, according to Variety.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the industry and individuals who have supported me throughout my incredible journey. My life has been filled with passion, challenges, and an unyielding love for the art of storytelling.
She tore the papers on stage, saying "And that was written by AI," and her comments were met with applause, according to the outlet.
She continued her speech and discussed her Oscars win for portraying Queen Elizabeth in the 2006 film "The Queen," stating, "I thought, 'There is really only one path now, and it can't be upward.'"
Mirren has won a total of 14 awards, including four Emmy Awards, an Academy Award, and a Tony Award, as well as three BAFTAs and three Golden Globes.
