In 2023, Kardashian bought the 1920-created pendant at an auction for $197,453 and shortened the pearl rope it hangs on.

The cross was only worn by the Princess, and after her death, it was never seen in public until now, the auction house stated in a release.

The choice of Kardashian to wear the iconic pendant with a revealing dress did not sit well with fans of the royals. One social media user commented, "Kim, wearing a cross while exposing your breasts is an odd choice," while another added, "This is a perfect example of class vs. trash."
