Gavin Newsom should be removed from office before another disaster occurs, says Justine Bateman.
Bateman advocates for the removal of Mayor Karen Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom from their positions in Los Angeles and California, respectively.
Gov. Gavin Newsom and other Los Angeles officials should be removed from office, according to Justine Bateman.
The actress demanded the removal of Newsom after he posted a video of himself expressing his desire to collaborate with President-elect Trump on tackling the wildfires in California.
Bateman wrote on X that he strongly desires other CA voters to recognize the insincerity, dismissiveness, and pretentiousness of those in power, as well as their disregard for the well-being of California's citizens.
""Gavin Newsom must be removed before something worse happens here, as he has consistently shown untrustworthiness in every video," she stated."
"You cannot trust this kind of person with any role, and especially not one upon which our wellbeing depends. Gavin Newsom needs to be removed, before something worse happens here." — Justine Bateman
The writer also called for the removal of LA Mayor Karen Bass, stating that her irresponsibility and apathy towards the people of Los Angeles is unacceptable. After being notified of the impending disaster fire conditions, she left the country, leaving behind the people she is supposed to serve. Furthermore, she knew that efforts to mitigate maximum damage had not been done, yet she did nothing to prevent the catastrophe. The writer believes that another calamitous demonstration of her ineptitude is imminent and that she must be removed from office.
Since the fires started, Bateman, famous for her role on "Family Ties," has been vocal about her opinions and has expressed them on social media. She also appeared on Planet Chronicle' "Jesse Watters Primetime" to share her criticism.
On Jan. 9, Bateman stated that he was furious and believed many people in Los Angeles shared his sentiment.
To effectively run a city or state, it is essential to prioritize funding for the fire and police departments, as these are the basic necessities.

The actress pointed out that Los Angeles' current leadership is "unable" to plan for natural disasters.
"If you can't perform the fundamentals, you should leave our city. You are of no use to us. You are a burden, and you have caused harm to others because of your negligence," she stated.
"You failed to fulfill your duties as hired and paid for. Resign out of shame and responsibility for the harm you have caused to the people's lives."
The Palisades Fire, which started on Jan. 7, quickly turned into infernos due to the fierce Santa Ana winds. The lack of significant rainfall in more than eight months has exacerbated the situation in the nation's second-largest city.
Despite the high winds, firefighters are making progress in controlling the Southern California fires, and the fires have not spread significantly in the past couple of days.
In the Los Angeles area, fires have burned approximately 63.5 square miles (164 square kilometers), destroyed or damaged over 12,000 structures, and resulted in 24 fatalities.
