For his birthday, Armie Hammer's mother arranged a vasectomy for him.
Dru Hammer, the actor's mother, defended him against past allegations.
For his birthday this year, Armie Hammer received an unusual gift from his mother, Dru Hammer.
She remembered calling her son on her "Armie HammerTime" podcast and asking him what he wanted for his birthday. He replied, "Maybe money. Whatever." She then revealed that she planned to give him a vasectomy.
Hammer agreed to go to a doctor for a consultation, remembering, "He asked, 'Are you sure you want to do this?' I replied, 'I have two lovely children. I don't want any more. I'm good to go.'"
"They attempt to persuade you against it, but I am resolute and unwavering. I have made my decision and I am content with it."
The receptionist inquired about payment when he visited her, and he disclosed that he had been without insurance for a prolonged period.
"She asked, 'Are you going to pay for it with a credit card?' and I replied, 'My credit cards won't cover this. My mother will be paying for it.'"
Hammer explained that his mother gave him a vasectomy as a birthday present, but the receptionist seemed slightly confused. He repeated, "Yes, my mother gave me this as a birthday present. It was just one of those things ... you could tell she was hearing something and like [thinks], ‘I’ve never heard ... what are you talking about?’ So, yeah, my mom got me a vasectomy for my birthday."
In the episode, "the Church Lady" Dru revealed her reasoning for the gift she gave.
"I believe I’m going to give you a vasectomy." — Dru Hammer, mother of Armie Hammer
"I would love to say, 'OK, Armie, I'm really hoping you won't have sex outside of marriage,' but she admitted it won't work."
"We're fortunate not to have a lot of miniature hammers running around," she remarked.
Dru suggested gifting her son a vasectomy because she believes there are young girls who would love to have Armie Hammer's baby.
"Maybe when I had money they would," Armie responded.
An anonymous Instagram account named "House of Effie" leaked online a series of text messages that allegedly detailed the 38-year-old's Hollywood career came to a halt due to sexual fantasies, including references to rape, violence, and cannibalism.
Another former girlfriend, Paige Lorenze, claimed that Hammer had marked her with a knife.
Armie Hammer's mother claims that his acting was so bold that he would consume individuals.
Elizabeth Chambers, Hammer's ex-wife and mother of their two children, filed for divorce in 2020, which was finalized in 2023, months before the allegations against him were made public.
The investigation into the rape allegations against Hammer lasted nine months and was conducted by the Los Angeles Police Department. Despite the allegations, Hammer maintained his innocence and was eventually cleared of any charges in May 2023.
On the podcast, Dru expressed her confidence that her son would return.
"If there was a smidgen of things that were wrong that you did, as far as a rape accusation, they would have nailed you," she said.
"As a mother, I wanted to know if there were any women with missing limbs or ribs. I asked you about it, and you responded."
Dru stated that her son learned not to send inappropriate messages because no one was harmed, but she considered him foolish.
Hammer agreed, saying, "I was definitely stupid."
