Experts suggest that Prince William and Prince Harry's royal cousins hold the key to resolving the conflict between the brothers and saving the monarchy.
It is reported that Princess Beatrice and Zara Tindall are set to assist the Prince of Wales in his role as King Charles III, while Kate Middleton battles cancer.
Some insiders believe that Prince William and Prince Harry's royal cousins may be the solution to the monarchy's ongoing feud and health issues.
According to Royal expert Ian Pelham Turner, Zara Tindall and Princess Beatrice have reportedly stepped in to help support William, the heir to the British throne, as his father, King Charles III, and wife Kate Middleton battle undisclosed forms of cancer.
"Both Beatrice and Zara share a desire to present the royal family in the best possible light, according to Pelham Turner. They possess strong values and common sense, and are skilled at resolving conflicts and easing tensions. Their ability to remain impartial and build bridges could be instrumental in reconciling William and Harry and finding a resolution with Meghan Markle and their children."
"Beatrice and Zara both want the royal family to be seen in the best possible light. Both have strong values and common sense." — Ian Pelham Turner, royal expert
After Grant Harrold, the king's former butler, stated that Beatrice and Zara had been assisting William during difficult periods, Pelham Turner made a statement.
Additionally, he believed that their close relationship with the princes could potentially result in peace negotiations between the feuding brothers.
"Harrold informed the New York Post that Beatrice is very close with both William and Harry, and their relationship is fun and natural. It has never changed, and they always have a lot of jokes together and can have a laugh."
"Harrold stated that they are friends and it's great because they are cousins but close and always support each other. They spend a lot of time together."
According to Harrold, Beatrice could potentially serve as a mediator between Harry, William, and Charles.
An expert believes that Prince Harry and Prince William need an intervention to end their feud.
"She would be the one to initiate peace in the family," he said. "She is close to both William and Harry, as well as the king, and they trust her. It would be her out of anyone else, but she wouldn't want to be too involved."
Pelham Turner agreed.
"William has noticed Beatrice's lively spirit, reminiscent of his mother Sarah Ferguson, as she stepped in for Kate during her illness this year."
According to Hilary Fordwich, a royal expert, it is likely that Beatrice, 36, and Zara, 43, will visit Balmoral Castle in Scotland, where the king will be hosting members of the royal family during the late summer and fall. This castle was once a beloved retreat of Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away there in 2022 at the age of 96.
William, 42, and his wife and three children are also expected to appear.
"Balmoral, the Scottish estate where the extended royal family gathers every summer, will be the destination for [they]. The bond between Princess Beatrice and Zara and Prince William has been established for years, and they have never had any fallouts with Prince Harry. Given the pressure William is under, they have both assumed more royal duties. As the next generation, they will stand by the crown when William ascends to the throne."
"Beatrice and Eugenie, the York sisters, have shown their loyalty to the royal family by distancing themselves from Harry, despite once being close to him, Fordwich stated. The sisters have not communicated with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for some time, and during their upcoming visit to Balmoral, Harry and Meghan will not be present, nor will their children. This absence from Balmoral represents the current state of their relationship with the royals."
"If Harry doesn't go to Balmoral, their relationship won't progress. However, getting them back won't be initiated by Prince William. With his loyal extended family of cousins by his side, Harry isn't necessary."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not invited to join the royal family at Balmoral Castle, according to a recent report by People magazine. The couple has not been back to the U.K. with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, since the late queen's Platinum Jubilee in 2022 due to the ongoing rift.
According to Kinsey Schofield, host of the "To Di For Daily" podcast, Beatrice and Zara are reportedly backing William, but it's unlikely that they will assume more royal responsibilities in the near future.
Zara, Princess Anne's daughter, does not possess a royal title. It has been widely reported that Anne, 73, did not wish to burden her two children with their royal lineage.
Schofield stated that Princess Beatrice and Zara are supportive, but neither cousin intends to be an active working member of the royal family.
"Zara is always family-focused, so if the family is getting together, you can count on her to be the first in line. She loves and enjoys being in their company, and while it might come off as a favor, she wouldn't have it any other way. She is a wonderfully reliable friend and probably the closest thing Prince William has to a sister next to his sister-in-law, Pippa Matthews."
"Beatrice is content to appear in a semi-official capacity to support the royal family, despite rumors of her desire for an official role," Schofield stated.
"At an Earthshot Prize event on June 25, Princess Kate filled in for Prince William when he was double booked with an official state visit from the Japanese Emperor. It was a rare moment, but it was admirable of the princess to step in."
Harry has been estranged from his family and has had limited contact with his father since the couple left their royal duties in 2020. The couple cited the invasive media coverage and racist attitudes of the British press as the reasons for their departure. Since then, the father of two has spoken openly about his strained relationship with his family in interviews, a documentary, and his memoir.
In "Spare," William, 39, discusses his competition with Harry.
In the book, Harry claimed that in 2019, William referred to Meghan as "difficult" and "rude," and then grabbed him by the collar and knocked him down. Harry sustained injuries, including cuts and bruises, when he landed on a dog bowl. After the death of his father, Prince Philip, in 2021, the king pleaded with his brothers to reconcile and not make his final years a source of misery.
Since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the royal family, William and Harry's relationship has been non-existent, according to several royal experts.
"Schofield stated that the brothers are not communicating and there are no peace talks. He pointed out that there are several signs of a lack of communication, including the fact that Harry and Meghan were not invited to Balmoral to holiday with King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Princess Kate. Their presence would not contribute to a peaceful atmosphere."
"If King Charles is not communicating with Prince Harry, then Prince William is also not speaking to him, according to Schofield. King Charles has always had a softer spot for Harry, but his illness has made him tired of his constant whining. Similarly, Prince William has not said anything to his brother."
"Schofield stated, "Although it may seem sad, it is a safer position for William to maintain his distance from Harry. If Harry is unaware of what is happening in William's life, it cannot be revealed in a book or interview. Furthermore, the association of the York girls with Prince Harry has caused problems, which is why Eugenie no longer spends time with the Sussexes in California.""
