Experts say Kate Middleton's cancer battle deepened her religious beliefs.
It is anticipated that the Princess of Wales will be present at Remembrance Sunday alongside King Charles III.
Kate Middleton has reportedly turned to faith during her cancer battle, according to several royal experts.
The Princess of Wales declared in September that she had finished chemotherapy, but emphasized that her "complete recovery is a long journey, and I must take each day one at a time."
Royal expert Ian Pelham Turner revealed to Planet Chronicle Digital that Kate has been strengthening her values through her Christian faith during her cancer treatment by talking to friends with strong religious beliefs.
He noted those conversations have "impacted positively on her recovery."
Helena Chard, a British broadcaster and photographer, stated that the Princess of Wales' health scare was a tumultuous, unsettling, and concerning time in her life.
"I am not surprised that she is more interested in faith because the power of faith is immense in overcoming challenging times and I hope it has given her immense solace."
After the release of Robert Hardman's updated book, "Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story," Pelham Turner and Chard made their claims.
Since being diagnosed with cancer and undergoing chemotherapy, the mother of three has become "more devoted" to her faith.
"The Princess of Wales’s health scare has been an emotional, stormy, unsettling, and worrying period of her life. It doesn’t surprise me that she is more interested in faith. The power of faith can never be underestimated in overcoming challenging times and I hope [it] has given her immense solace." — Helena Chard, British broadcaster and photographer
A family friend informed Hardman that things are more hopeful there.
Hilary Fordwich, a British royals expert, stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that Kate Middleton's belief in God significantly influenced her upbringing and has remained with her throughout her marriage to Prince William, the future king of Britain, since 2011.
"Princess Catherine, who was raised in a Christian household, has faith that has influenced her worldview and values. She was baptized as a child and confirmed into the Church of England before marrying Prince William. Despite her cancer treatment, she was seen attending Sunday Church services at Balmoral’s Craithe Kirk in Crathie in August."
"Fordwich stated that she frequently discusses spirituality in her life and that her religious beliefs are reflected in her commitment to helping others and spreading compassion."
Prince William, as described by those who know him, is a modern young man who is embarrassed by certain aspects of ceremonial and religion, according to an excerpt from Hardman's book.
According to those close to him, Prince William shows little interest in religious matters, as reported by Pelham Turner.
"Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal expert, stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that unlike his father, William is not particularly interested in religion. However, he is expected to succeed him as Supreme Governor of the Church of England. Although no specifics are known, this news provides hope for those who value the church's connection to the monarchy."
Kate has reportedly grown closer to her father-in-law, King Charles III, due to their shared battle with the disease. Buckingham Palace announced his diagnosis in February, a month before Kate made her own announcement in a video.
"King Charles' faith is deep and strong, and he celebrates all kinds of spirituality and religious diversity," said Chard. "I believe that the king and Princess of Wales discussed their faith during their stay at The London Clinic. The image of King Charles strolling through the clinic's corridors to visit his beloved daughter-in-law brings a smile to my face."
The Church of England is deeply rooted in the faith of the 75-year-old, who is also known for defending religion globally. His mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, was also known for her Christian beliefs.
It is widely known in royal circles that Prince William does not share the king's spiritual beliefs, let alone the late queen's unwavering commitment to the Anglican church, according to Hardman.
"Hardman wrote that the prince is not as spiritual as his father, who is happy to discuss faith. A palace source revealed that William, 42, does not attend church every Sunday, just like the majority of the country."
"The source stated that William may visit during Christmas and Easter, but that's it, and although he respects the institutions, he is not naturally comfortable in a religious setting."
Kate is reportedly focusing on her recovery while considering her role as a royal in the upcoming months, as she continues to lean on her faith.
On Wednesday, William discussed Kate's condition with British broadcasters prior to the Earthshot Prize Awards in South Africa.
"William said, "She's doing really well, thanks," as quoted by People magazine. "I hope she's watching tonight and cheering me on.""
The royal editor for The Sunday Times and podcaster for "The Royals with Roya and Kate," Roya Nikkhah, revealed to Planet Chronicle Digital that Princess Diana is hoping to make an appearance on Remembrance Day.
The royal family's website states that on the second Sunday of November, the king honors those who have died in world wars and other conflicts, with senior members uniting at the Cenotaph for a ceremony.
"Nikkhah told Planet Chronicle Digital that she wrote last month that her finishing chemotherapy treatment was a significant event in her diary. She plans to be at the Cenotaph, which is the national war memorial, on Remembrance Sunday, which falls on November 10th this year."
""The queen and other members of the royal family typically observe the National Act of Remembrance from the balcony above while the king lays a wreath at the Cenotaph," she disclosed."
Kate Middleton and Prince William are strategizing their legacy as the "endgame" approaches.
"Nikkhah stated that the mood at Kensington Palace is that she will be present for that, and it is a gradual and consistent comeback."
"There is little doubt that she will attend Remembrance Sunday, as she has appeared on important royal occasions such as Trooping the Colour and meetings," said Fitzwilliams. "We will see her at events which she feels able to attend. These are likely to increase in number. She is expected to appear at the special Christmas carol service, which she has hosted annually at Westminster Abbey since 2021."
Still, Chard said don’t call it a royal comeback.
"The Princess of Wales understands that the world expects her to be the center of attention at events, and she will fulfill that expectation when she can. She is also aware that her health is not completely stable, so she is taking each day as it comes. Family is very important to her, and she is prioritizing it. She feels fortunate to be able to be a supportive and strong presence for her husband and children."
The Princess of Wales has consistently participated in the royal family's National Service of Remembrance, emphasizing the significance of honoring fallen relatives, supporting her family and the king, who leads the poignant ceremony.
"The Princess of Wales will honor those who died in war even more deeply, as her cancer journey has given her a new appreciation for life."
