Experts reveal that Prince William and King Charles had a disagreement about William's desire to be an active parent.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Despite having seen his parents' tumultuous divorce, Prince William is resolute in providing his three children with a typical upbringing, which may lead to conflicts with his father.
Kate Middleton and her 42-year-old husband are reportedly "hands-on" parents who work together as a team to ensure their children are always with them while they fulfill their royal duties.
"According to royal expert Hilary Fordwich, Prince William and Kate Middleton's parenting style is more hands-on than typical royal standards. Those who have traveled with and observed the family have noted their close bond and similar mannerisms, particularly with Prince George."
Prince William yearns for simplicity after his tumultuous upbringing," Fordwich stated. "One of the reasons Kate attracted William was her stable family. Those close to her have always said that she and William wanted their children to grow up 'in the real world, not a gilded bubble.'
"The desire is for them to have the same experiences as other children as they grow up."
After the Daily Mail published an excerpt from Robert Jobson's upcoming biography about Catherine, the Princess of Wales, Fordwich made his statements.
The author claimed that King Charles raised concerns with Prince William about flying with his family in a helicopter.
"Prince William craves normalcy after his tumultuous childhood." — Hilary Fordwich, royal expert
The king presented William, an experienced pilot, with a formal document acknowledging the risks involved and taking full responsibility for his actions, which sparked a tense disagreement.
Neither Kensington Palace nor Buckingham Palace responded to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment.
Although there is disagreement, the book also stated that the king, 75, has praised Kate, 42, for having a "stabilizing influence" on William, particularly in his relationship with the monarch. A source informed Jobson that the Princess of Wales is someone who always tries to see both sides of any dispute and is emotionally mature.
"The courtier stated that the [king] comprehends Catherine's positive impact on the family and deeply values her contributions."
Fordwich isn't surprised by the king's concerns about flying in a helicopter with his entire family, as she knows William has no problems with it.
"Fordwich stated that several royals have died in plane crashes, which made Queen Elizabeth II cautious about who could fly together. As a result, rules were established to prevent royal heirs from flying together."
"Fordwich emphasized the importance of avoiding a succession crisis in the event of the monarch's death in a plane crash, stating that exceptions are made with the consent of the monarch. Prince William, who has the utmost respect for his father and admires his dedication to duty, has expressed his concern about the negative impact of prioritizing work over family, which he experienced growing up. As a result, their father-son relationship has been strained in recent years."
From birth in 1982, William was exposed to the public eye as the son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, and his life was closely followed by the world, from his school days in London to his courtship of Kate at St. Andrews University and their stunning wedding at Westminster Abbey.
After graduating from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, he served in the Army, Navy, and Royal Air Force before becoming a civilian air ambulance pilot. Eventually, he transitioned into full-time royal duties. Through his charitable work, which focused on mental health and the environment, he provided clues about the type of monarch he might become.
The Prince and Princess of Wales were described as having a "hands-on" approach to raising their children, with lessons learned from their parents' deteriorating marriage.
In 1996, a year before her tragic death in a car crash at age 36, Charles and Diana's divorce was finalized.
"Charles and Diana had contrasting parenting styles, with Charles being traditional and Diana wanting their sons to have a broader perspective, such as exposing them to social issues and taking them to various places like McDonald's and Thorpe Park, according to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams."
"According to Fitzwilliams, William and Catherine have always prioritized their children's normal upbringing and the protection of their privacy and well-being. This was evident from the beginning when William was stationed at RAF Valley Angelsey and later at Anmer Hall with the East Anglican Air Ambulance."
He remarked that the equilibrium they have achieved by releasing images of their kids and granting interviews in exchange for privacy is commendable.
According to Royal expert Ian Pelham Turner, there have been disagreements between William and Charles regarding their contrasting views on royal life and parenthood.
""William's behavior is reminiscent of his grandfather Prince Philip, who believed the monarchy should behave differently in the 21st century. Some people claim he has become more straight-laced recently, such as being addressed as 'sir' instead of 'William,'" Pelham Turner stated."

"After Diana's death, Charles became more sensitive in his role as a parent to his two sons, which may explain why Kate is always expressive of her love for the children both publicly and privately."
"Helena Chard, a British broadcaster and photographer, described Prince William as an analytical, thoughtful, good, and principled man. She stated that his stubborn streak occasionally surfaces, but this is not necessarily a negative trait. Prince William is open to positive change and thinks things through before making a decision. Additionally, he involves his wife in his decision-making process."
"Despite being frowned upon, Prince William continues to pilot helicopters with his family on board. He believes he is a skilled pilot and feels no one is more suitable than himself to pilot his family. However, he knows that when Prince George turns 12, it's unlikely that he and George will be allowed to fly together, as it was the same with him and his father when he turned 12."
"Prince William and Prince Harry both felt emotionally neglected by their father when they were younger, which has influenced their perspectives on prioritizing their family's emotional and physical well-being, as well as their determination to protect the monarchy at all costs."
William's obstinate nature is well-known, particularly regarding his family, but there is a valid explanation for the king's willingness to confront his son about helicopter usage.
Andersen stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that he was not surprised that King Charles is concerned about the well-being of his family members, given his own mortality is now more tangible and jarring.
"William, an experienced helicopter pilot who has spent his entire life hopping on and off royal choppers, would not be surprised that the danger is minimal. However, I agree with the king that accidents do happen and it is not worth taking chances with the future of the entire monarchy."
"Andersen stated that it is ironic that William and the king are fighting over something like this, as William and Kate are hands-on parents in a way King Charles never was. Perhaps William is motivated to keep the family together at all costs, even in flight, due to his desire to keep them together. Additionally, it is likely that a 42-year-old man like William is less aware of his own mortality than someone who is pushing 76 and battling cancer."
