Experts predict that Meghan Markle's 'remorseful' over Kate Middleton feud, but 'frosty' relationship is unlikely to be repaired.
The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly concentrating intensely on launching a new cooking program on Netflix, which will coincide with her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
It is reported that Meghan Markle feels "regret" for her strained relationship with Kate Middleton.
According to British royal expert Hilary Fordwich, the Duchess of Sussex has been reflecting on the Princess of Wales, who is currently fighting cancer.
"Fordwich stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that Meghan Markle is reportedly remorseful, but he added, "Well, one would hope." He further stated that it is being spread that she does not want any bad blood, and she needs reconciliation. However, Fordwich believes that Meghan Markle has a long way to go for Kate to ever see an upside for the royal family or the public in a reconciliation."
After insiders revealed that Fordwich wants to reconcile with Kate, In Touch reported that the former American actress "genuinely feels hurt" by their feud and made claims shortly thereafter.
Since Meghan, 42, last publicly saw the women at Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in September 2022, she has not returned to the U.K.
An unnamed source claims that Meghan's friends believe she regrets the outcome of her relationship with Kate and that she never intended any harm, but she should have handled the situation differently.
The insider stated that Meghan has been making an extra effort to demonstrate care for Kate during this challenging period.
According to Christopher Andersen, author of "The King," the royal wives were never close. After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left in 2020, Kate has kept her distance, concentrating on her family and her duties to the crown.
Andersen stated that Kate and Meghan were never a love match from the start. Their relationship was always frosty, even before their famous argument over the flower girls' dresses at Harry and Meghan's wedding. Despite Kate's efforts to bring the brothers back together after Megxit, their reconciliation was impossible once the Sussexes publicly criticized the royal family during the Oprah interview and in Harry's memoir 'Spare.'
"Kate resigned herself to the situation and left it to William and Harry to resolve their differences," Andersen stated. "Meghan, on the other hand, remained indifferent to the conflict and continued with her work in California."
Meghan became the Duchess of Sussex when she married Prince Harry in 2018.
Since quitting royal duties in 2020 and relocating to California with his wife, the Duke of Sussex, 39, has had a strained relationship with the royal family. The couple claims that the unbearable intrusions and racist attitudes of the British media were the reasons behind their move.
In 2021, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had a televised interview with Oprah Winfrey that was viewed by 50 million globally. During the sit-down, Meghan admitted to leaving Kate in tears over bridesmaid dresses.
"The reverse happened," said the 42-year-old.
"Meghan stated, "I don't say that to belittle anyone because it was a challenging week leading up to the wedding, and she was upset about something. However, she took responsibility, apologized, and sent me flowers and a note. I believe it's not right to her to go into the specifics of that situation since she has already apologized. I have forgiven her.""
Kate, 42, was described as a "good person" by Meghan, who urged against pitting them against each other.
""Loving her doesn't mean hating me, and vice versa," stated Meghan."
A spokesperson for Kensington Palace declined to comment on the matter when Planet Chronicle Digital reached out for a statement.
In March of this year, Kate revealed that she was undergoing chemotherapy for an undisclosed form of cancer.
The princess stated that she is making good progress, but chemotherapy can have good days and bad days. She added that she has a few more months of treatment to face.
According to royal expert Ian Pelham Turner, Meghan has been giving indications that she wants to mend her relationship with Prince Harry.
"Although Meghan has experienced estrangement with her father, she does not wish for the same intensity of bad blood for Harry. However, William's dominance in the dialogue may hinder a reconciliation. Kate, as a loyal royal wife, will accept his decision."
Some royal experts claimed that Meghan won't be reconciling with her sister-in-law anytime soon. Meanwhile, Kinsey Schofield, host of the "To Di For Daily" podcast, stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that the duchess has been occupied with her latest business venture.
Meghan's Netflix series, which is currently in development, will showcase the duchess enjoying "cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship." The show appears to align with her upcoming lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which her friends have been promoting on social media.
"Schofield stated that Meghan is highly focused on the successful launch of her Netflix cooking program, which she believes will lead to a successful launch of American Riviera Orchard. This was evident when Meghan's team leaked American Riviera Orchard's website to the media following the discovery of King Charles' cancer diagnosis. Since then, Catherine's emotional message and the Trooping appearance have been followed by Nacho posting American Riviera Orchard dog biscuits on Instagram."
"Schofield stated that he believes Meghan is sympathetic towards the Princess of Wales' health battle, but she is fixated on her life in America and doesn't see a future in the U.K. After the launch of her Netflix show and website, Meghan can strategize her podcast redemption with Lemonada Media. As expected, Meghan's focus is solely on herself."
Andersen agreed.
Did Meghan feel upset upon hearing the news of Kate and the king's twin cancer diagnoses? Andersen stated that she was certainly concerned about the emotional impact this was having on Harry. However, there is no evidence that Meghan feels she needs to apologize to anyone in the royal family.
"Meghan is not the type of person to have regrets or feel guilty. That's not her. She won't reach out to Kate because she knows she would be rejected or ignored. Kate doesn't need the drama or the stress right now."
According to Andersen, Harry and Meghan are facing their own issues, including relying on Meghan's new cooking show to salvage their $100 million Netflix deal. Despite several attempts with Netflix, only their "Harry & Meghan" documentary has been successful.
"William and Charles' foreheads bulge whenever they hear about a new Meghan and Harry moneymaking scheme. There are currently no peace talks, and if there were, the sight of Meghan making scones would likely end them abruptly."
Is an apology sufficient for the royal family to pardon the Sussexes?
"Not bloody likely," Andersen claimed.
""The Sussexes have no intention of apologizing for anything, and they still believe they are the wronged party in this royal saga. While Kate might be able to bury the hatchet and move on, King Charles, Queen Camilla, and Prince William are not in a forgiving mood. Things have gone too far, and the wounds are simply too deep," he claimed."
