Expert: Meghan Markle feels 'regrets' about leaving the royal family and lives a 'isolated but structured' life in California.
The Duchess of Sussex is secretly preparing to launch her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
Meghan Markle is reportedly contentedly building a successful business in California, but she harbors a few remorseful feelings about her departure from the royal family.
"According to Kinsey Schofield, host of the "To Di For Daily" podcast, Meghan regrets certain statements she made, as they were not received as expected and several of her comments backfired."
"Schofield claimed that Meghan deeply regrets the royal racist controversy and that she wanted the takeaway from her Oprah interview to be about her mental health. However, Meghan regretted sitting down with The Cut because she provided endless commentary for her critics."
"Meghan does regret certain statements that she made… They weren’t received in the way that she had expected and several of her comments have backfired." — Kinsey Schofield, host of the To Di For Daily podcast
The actress, who is a mother of two, has invested in Cesta Collective, a female-founded handbag brand that is sustainably sourced.
The outlet reported that the 42-year-old investor has between five and 10 brands in her portfolio, including her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which is currently in development.
According to an author, Meghan Markle has moved on from the royal family drama.
"Investing in myself has helped me line up for this chapter," she said, explaining how investing in them had aided her in achieving her goals.
Meghan is considering expanding her brand beyond the royal family, and only a few individuals have been granted access to her world, as Schofield shared with Planet Chronicle Digital.
"Meghan's personal life in California is structured but isolated, she said. To be her friend, one must offer something, contribute to her personal goals, and provide trust and privacy. Her friend group is small, and she is friendly with Montecito locals, as one never knows someone's connection or status. Everyone in Montecito has accomplished something significant to be in a position to call it home."
"Schofield stated that sightings of the couple are rare and advances towards establishing connections with the Sussexes are mostly rejected. However, Meghan and Harry are often seen with friends dining at an upscale steakhouse named Lucky's and an Italian restaurant called Tre Lune in Montecito."
"Schofield stated that Meghan wants to give the impression that she has moved on and the drama is beneath her, but the reality is that there is still a resentment that drives much of her work over the past three and a half years."
Harry has had a strained relationship with his family and has seen his father infrequently since the couple quit royal duties in 2020. The couple cited unbearable intrusions and racist attitudes of the British press as the reasons for stepping back as senior royals.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have aired their grievances in an interview with Winfrey and a Netflix docuseries. During their sit-down with Winfrey, the couple claimed a member of the royal family questioned their son's skin tone before he was born. Harry later clarified that Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip weren't the royals in question.
In October, a paperback version of Harry's explosive memoir "Spare" will be available in bookstores.
Meghan Markle has finished filming a Netflix cooking series that will tie in with her lifestyle brand, according to sources.
The couple has been concentrating on charitable endeavors, with Harry planning a trip to New York City in September to promote their causes.
"An insider revealed to an outlet that Meghan has moved from actress to royal to entrepreneur. Despite wearing many hats, she believes that age and experience have prepared her for a greater purpose in life. She is content with the role she has created for herself."
Meghan is unlikely to return to the U.K. soon, according to Schofield.
"The royal family's estrangement is being reminded by Harry and Meghan's return to the U.K. without meeting with the royals or acknowledging them, which is attracting hostile headlines. However, there is a desire to win back the audience in the U.K., but Harry recently stated that he doesn't feel safe enough to bring his wife back to his home country."
"Schofield stated that if American Riviera Orchard becomes a well-oiled machine and keeps Meghan busy, she will find joy in that work. However, Meghan must show more commitment and discipline than we’ve seen from her if she wants to create a community to drown out her critics through her lifestyle brand, Netflix show, and Lemonada podcast."
According to Christopher Andersen, author of "The King," Meghan stated that she would be content never returning to the U.K. again.
"Harry and Meghan's life in California is fairly idyllic, despite what their critics imagine, according to him. He explained that Meghan likely came to terms with their situation with the royal family much earlier than Harry, who may not have fully realized it yet. Meghan is a realist and realized early on that the monarchy and those who control it are intractable, including the king and the rest of the royal family."
"Andersen stated that the royals are known for holding grudges. Once someone is excluded, it is challenging to convince them otherwise. Meghan comprehends this. Although Harry desires to make amends with his father and brother, especially now that the king and Princess of Wales are both fighting cancer, even if Harry succeeds in winning back the royals' favor, it is difficult to envision Meghan simply accepting it."
Andersen highlighted that the couples are now "focused on Montecito." Specifically, Harry is no longer "consumed by remorse."
Andersen stated that he believes he has made more efforts than anyone else to repair his relationship with his father and brother Prince William.
He stated that Meghan is content residing in her home state, where she experiences a sense of freedom.
"He stated that she is a true Californian and that the Sussxes' business and philanthropic prospects remain promising. Despite this, Meghan is more determined than ever to seize these opportunities. Meanwhile, she is aware that Harry still yearns for his family and friends in the UK, and the possibility of being welcomed back into the royal family, even in a limited capacity, constantly lingers in his thoughts."
The success of the Sussexes in moving on from the royal drama and the effectiveness of Meghan's business ventures will only become clear over time.
"Schofield stated that Meghan had always aspired to fame but never anticipated that infamy could result from it. Currently, she is struggling to comprehend why some individuals do not resonate with her."
