Expert: Kate Middleton is the "glue" when King Charles and Prince William don't see eye to eye.

Kate Middleton, who has fought cancer and witnessed her father-in-law battle the disease while fulfilling royal duties, eagerly anticipates her 43rd birthday.

On Thursday, the Princess of Wales will celebrate her special day privately with her loved ones, while the public lauds the royal for being the British monarchy's shining star.
