Expert advises Ben Affleck to adhere to this 'cardinal rule' during his divorce from Jennifer Lopez.
On the second anniversary of their Georgia wedding, JLo filed for divorce from Affleck.
Despite not typically discussing his personal life, Ben Affleck has been the subject of attention due to his upcoming divorce from Jennifer Lopez.
Affleck's private life has been negatively affected by paparazzi at his door and rumors of a romance with Kathleen "Kick" Kennedy Jr.'s daughter.
"According to Doug Eldridge, founder of Achilles PR, who spoke to Planet Chronicle Digital, there is no manual or one-size-fits-all solution for emotionally dealing with a divorce, regardless of whether it's your first or third. Each divorce takes a heavier toll with each occurrence, much like compounding interest."
Despite Affleck's reputation for appearing downcast in paparazzi photos, he has been looking more energetic than usual over the past week.
Eric Schiffer, CEO of Reputation Management Consultants, told Planet Chronicle Digital that Ben went from looking like a prisoner in a Soviet Gulag, trapped in an emotional straightjacket of soul-crushing pain, to experiencing a newfound joy of freedom and a giddy peace of mind.
Affleck, who divorced Jennifer Garner in 2018, should consider taking "the high road," according to Eldridge.
"He stated that the legal process will unfold on its own. The best course of action for him is to concentrate on the positive and adhere to the fundamental rule: Whenever someone makes an effort to say harmful things about someone else, it's because they lack anything positive to say or show about themselves. This is the candle blower strategy: attempting to extinguish someone else's candle in an attempt to make your own shine brighter."
Affleck is staying busy by doing what he knows best and keeping good company.
"Ben is set to film another project in October and will also be shooting "RIP" this fall, so he will be occupied. It's not unusual that Ben and Matt had dinner together. They spend most of their time together, either in the same office or while traveling. Their offices are adjacent, and they spend a significant amount of time together, working on their projects and being passionate about them."
Affleck may rely on Damon for support as he manages his personal life issues. Eldridge advised Planet Chronicle Digital on the best steps Affleck should take, both personally and professionally, during his highly publicized divorce.
"According to Eldridge, the healthiest option for Affleck would involve two key steps: prioritizing the well-being of his children and focusing on his own physical and mental health. As a father, it is crucial to protect his children, regardless of their age. However, it is equally important to maintain one's physical fitness and mental alignment. This is particularly important when dealing with critics and pundits on social media who are quick to judge without any facts or evidence."
"He's already doing it in some ways on the professional side," he said. "From the 'leaked' photos of food delivery, Affleck looks lean, fit, and ready for a leading role. He has a notorious disdain for paparazzi, so there's a good chance those photos were coordinated and choreographed; it was a way for a smiling, clean-shaven Affleck to make a statement without releasing a statement. 'I'm home, I'm fit, I'm with my friends, I'm on my way.'"
""Affleck may yet produce a gem from this mess, as his consistent collaborations with friends like Matt Damon have shown," he added."
Affleck can emerge victorious if he concentrates on the positive aspects of his life, such as his children, health, and creative endeavors. The ultimate objective is to live in such a manner that the other person is forced to fabricate negative stories about you in an attempt to make you appear unfavorably. If Affleck safeguards his reputation, he will shine brighter and warmer than ever before.
Affleck's representative did not promptly respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's inquiry for comment.
Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck last week in Los Angeles County Court, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split. The "On The Floor" singer filed the documents on the second anniversary of the couple's Georgia wedding ceremony.
Over the past few months, the duo's marriage has faced criticism from the public.
Earlier this year, rumors circulated about the split of Affleck and Lopez. However, the situation took a drastic turn when Affleck did not attend Lopez's 55th birthday party on July 2.
"Jennifer has been struggling since Ben decided to end their marriage and move on, leaving her feeling abandoned and alone, according to a source who spoke to People magazine. Despite her desire to work through their issues and save their relationship, Jennifer has been left with no choice but to wait for Ben to come to terms with his decision. The source added that Jennifer is not one to give up easily and has been enduring the pain of waiting for Ben to move on."
The insider stated that she appeared relieved after filing for divorce.
According to a source, Affleck has given up on his career.
The source stated that Ben has been his usual energetic self, despite being busy with his kids and work.
In the documentary "The Greatest Love Story Never Told," Lopez and Affleck confessed that their first engagement caused them to "fall apart" due to the intense scrutiny of being a celebrity couple. This pressure ultimately led them to cancel their 2003 wedding just three days before the big day.
While Jen didn't object to the press as strongly as I did initially, I strongly objected to it.
"I said, 'Listen, I don't want a relationship on social media. But then I realized it's not fair to ask. It's like asking someone to marry a boat captain, you want to be with the water. We have different approaches, and we're trying to learn to compromise."
