Elton John has 'lost my eyesight' after a severe infection.

One of Elton John's eyes has lost sight due to a severe infection.

John revealed to the audience at the premiere of his musical adaptation of "The Devil Wears Prada" in London on Sunday that he hasn't been able to attend many of the previews due to his loss of eyesight.

"Although it's difficult for me to visualize it, I enjoy listening to it and it sounded fantastic tonight," he stated.

Planet Chronicle Digital did not receive an immediate response from John's representatives.

The 77-year-old revealed on "Good Morning America" that he had lost vision in his right eye due to an infection.

John stated that it has been four months since he last saw, and his left eye is not the best.

John admitted that he can't read lyrics and is struggling to record in the studio despite feeling hopeful and encouraged that it will turn out okay.

"I was taken aback when he said that. I can't see, read, or watch anything."

In September, the singer of "Tiny Dancer" announced on social media that he was suffering from an eye infection that was affecting his vision.

"He wrote that he has been dealing with a severe eye infection that has left him with limited vision in one eye. Although he is healing, the process is extremely slow and it will take some time before sight returns to the affected eye."

I have been quietly recuperating at home and am feeling positive about my healing and recovery progress.

John, who wrote the score for "The Devil Wears Prada," has been promoting his documentary, "Elton John: Never Too Late," which premieres on Disney+ on Dec. 13.
