Elon Musk's rude behavior on-set caused 'SNL' star to break into tears.
In 2021, Chloe Fineman claimed that Elon Musk caused her to cry while hosting the show.
Chloe Fineman, a "Saturday Night Live" star, is speaking out about her negative experiences with Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, during his 2021 hosting gig on the show.
The comedian, renowned for her accurate portrayals of celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Britney Spears, and Jennifer Coolidge, stated in a now-deleted video that Elon Musk caused her to cry during his contentious tenure as host.
Fineman, who has been a permanent fixture on the show since 2021, shared her personal experience with Musk after he criticized "SNL" on his social media platform, X.
""I saw a news article about Elon Musk being upset about his impression on 'SNL,' but I think he's just watching the show and doesn't understand the humor," she said in a since-deleted video."
On Saturday, Dana Carvey, a veteran "SNL" star, portrayed Musk in a cold open, which caused Musk displeasure.
"SNL has been gradually losing touch with reality for years, as they become increasingly out of touch with reality," Musk wrote in part on X, later responding to a user who asked him how he liked Carvey's impersonation of him with "Dana Carvey just sounds like Dana Carvey."
In 2021, Musk's behavior was revealed by Fineman, which countered his disdain.
"I'm the cast member that he made cry, and he's the host that made someone cry. I saw articles and stuff, but I didn't say anything. But if you're going to be rude on your platform, guess what? You made me, Chloe Fineman, burst into tears because I stayed up all night writing this sketch," she said.
Fineman may have been alluding to Bowen Yang's comments on "Watch What Happens Live!" during the summer, where he was asked to share the worst host behavior he encountered on set.
Yang remarked that the host made multiple cast members cry on Wednesday before the table read because he hated the ideas.
"Fineman exclaimed in her video, "I was thrilled! I entered the room, inquired about any questions, and you gave me a stern gaze, as if I were being let go from Tesla and said, 'It’s not amusing.'""
She waited for you to say, "Ha-ha, just kidding," but instead, you started flipping through her script, like turning each page and saying, "I didn't laugh - I didn't laugh once. Not one time." The sketch made it on, and she had a great time, thinking you were hilarious in it. However, she reminded you to have some manners, saying, "You know, have a little manners here, sir."
Musk replied to a post on X that contained a video, stating, "I was concerned that my SNL appearance would be unfunny and make a sober crackhead, but it turned out well in the end."
Neither Fineman nor Musk's representatives responded to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment.
