During a mysterious health scare, Jamie Foxx claims he was close to death and in a coma, according to an insider.
The Netflix special 'Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was...' was recorded in Atlanta in October and will be released on the streaming service on December 10th.
In his upcoming special, "Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was...," the actor will discuss his enigmatic health incident from the previous year.
Foxx described being "on the brink of death" after passing out and going into a coma that lasted several weeks, as stated by Chambers.
"Jamie's health was failing terribly, like he was on the brink of death. His vitals were all down. Everything was going down. The doctors and everyone told the family that he might not make it out of this," Chambers said to Planet Chronicle Digital.
During the medical emergency, Foxx was in Georgia with Cameron Diaz for the upcoming Netflix film, "Back in Action."
Netflix special attendee claims that Jamie Foxx's health scare was due to his body "giving up."
The situation was life-threatening and not related to drugs. It was serious, and I don't want to ruin it for everyone, but I must say that it was an experience that literally made him feel like he passed out while working on set in Atlanta, woke up, and thought he was just blacked out for a minute.
"He woke up in a hospital bed, thinking he'd been there for a couple hours. But they told him he'd been there for weeks, in a coma," Chambers said.
"His health was failing terribly bad, like Jamie was on the brink of death. His vitals were all down. Everything was going down. It got to the point where the doctors and everybody was telling the family like, 'Look, he might not make it to pull out of this.'" — Demecos Chambers
One of Foxx's daughters strummed a guitar for him while he was in a coma, according to Chambers.
His daughter would often visit him in the hospital and play a cherished song on his guitar.
Since the daughter began playing, the patient's vitals improved, and he started to recover from his coma. Despite the doctors' inability to explain the phenomenon, the daughter remained unaware of what was happening. She supported her father in a way that she believed was appropriate, and as she continued to play, the patient's condition improved until he eventually woke up. Chambers did not disclose which daughter he was referring to.
Netflix special attendee claims that Jamie Foxx took a selfie in the hospital, causing fans to believe he was cloned.
According to the event attendee, Foxx uploaded a "pale" looking selfie to social media to assure fans he was okay after being hospitalized.
In his drugged-up state in the hospital, Chambers decided to take a selfie in the bathroom and post it online.
He posted a selfie, looking pale. It's no surprise, given his drug use and online persona of being "fine." Everyone was shocked when they saw the cloned version of Jamie Fox, now white and looking like a ghost.
Despite Foxx narrating a grave medical incident, Chambers observed that some parts of the Netflix special are amusing.
He spoke about the story, describing it as heartfelt, serious, and funny. However, he also emphasized how it highlights the challenges of being a comedian.
Netflix declined to comment on Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment regarding Foxx.
