During a live taping of "Friends," David Schwimmer recounted a "terrifying" incident that resulted in his co-star being hospitalized.
Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, and the late Matthew Perry co-starred with Schwimmer on 'Friends'.
While filming "Friends," David Schwimmer experienced a "terrifying" incident.
Matt LeBlanc was hospitalized due to a medical emergency that Schwimmer, now 58, disclosed.
"According to Schwimmer, during the live taping of the show, LeBlanc was supposed to do a pratfall, but he actually dislocated his shoulder. Schwimmer recounted how LeBlanc went completely white and stood up, and he could see that his shoulder was out. LeBlanc looked like he was going to pass out."
The actor remembered how he "immediately turned to the camera and said, 'Cut, cut, cut,'" after seeing how badly hurt the other actor was. They had to stop filming that night and the injured actor went to the hospital.
"That was scary," he emphasized.
During the filming of "The One Where No One's Ready," LeBlanc suffered a shoulder dislocation while fighting for a chair with Matthew Perry's character. The injury was first revealed during the "Friends" reunion on HBO Max.
They opted to film a fourth take, even though he had successfully captured three jumps into a chair.
"He explained how he went to jump over the coffee table and somehow tripped, causing his legs to go up in the air and his shoulder to come out of the socket."
"The Jam" episode of "Friends" featured an injury sustained by LeBlanc.
"The simplest 'Friends' episode took the longest time to shoot," said executive producer Kevin Bright. "We put that into the show, then waited until he was okay to film the ending of 'The One Where No One's Ready.'"
The original sentence is already well-written and does not require rewriting.
The group has remained close since the death of actor Perry in October 2023, following his drowning after experiencing acute effects of ketamine.
The popular sitcom, which debuted on September 22, 1994, focused on the lives of six friends residing in New York City. "Friends" quickly gained a massive following and ran for a total of 10 seasons.
In a June "Actors on Actors" interview, Aniston discussed the premiere day of "Friends."
Aniston explained how it's hard to believe that it's been 30 years since the show premiered, as she vividly remembers the day it was going to air on NBC television.
"Matthew Perry and I were having lunch somewhere when we knew Lisa was getting her hair colored. We ran into the hair salon, and I snuck up on her while she was in the sink. I took the nozzle and started washing her hair, but it got out of control, which was unfortunate."
"The fact that it's had this long, wonderful life, and it still means a lot to people is one of the greatest gifts I think all six of us ever imagined."
