Due to a chest infection, Queen Camilla was forced to cancel events.
Remembrance events are anticipated to be attended by King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
Due to a chest infection, Queen Camilla had to cancel her scheduled events.
Camilla's events for the week were canceled due to Her Majesty being advised to take a "short period of rest."
The BBC reported that a statement from the palace read that Her Majesty The Queen is currently unwell with a chest infection and has been advised by her doctors to take a short period of rest.
"Her Majesty regretfully withdrew from her engagements for this week, but she hopes to recover in time to attend the Remembrance events as usual."
It appears that Queen Camilla intends to participate in the Remembrance ceremonies this week.
The royal family publicly honors those who have died serving the country on Remembrance Sunday, which falls on the second Sunday of November. Princess Kate Middleton is expected to attend the events after battling cancer.
The queen will not be present at the Field of Remembrance opening on Thursday, but is expected to attend the Festival of Remembrance on Saturday and the commemorative service on Sunday morning.
After Buckingham Palace announced King Charles III's cancer diagnosis in February, Queen Camilla developed a chest infection.
"A form of cancer was discovered during the King's recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, according to Buckingham Palace."
In April, His Majesty resumed his public responsibilities after a brief rest.
The palace later announced that the Princess of Wales was also fighting cancer.
Kate Middleton underwent planned abdominal surgery and was informed her condition was non-cancerous. However, further testing revealed cancer was present. Her medical team advised chemotherapy.
"The Princess of Wales stated in a pre-recorded message in March that the news came as a huge shock and that she and William have been working hard to process and manage it privately for the sake of their family. It has taken time for her to recover from major surgery and start her treatment, but the most important thing has been explaining the situation to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that is appropriate for their ages and reassuring them that she will be okay."
""I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal, both mentally, physically, and spiritually. Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance, as is the love, support, and kindness shown by so many of you. It means so much to us both," Middleton added."
