Despite Jodie Foster's success in Hollywood, her sons are not interested in watching her films: "They don't seem to care."
Jodie Foster and ex-husband Cydney Bernard share sons Charlie and Kit.
Despite her success in Hollywood, Jodie Foster's two adult sons appear uninterested in her acting career.
During the Handprint and Footprint Ceremony at TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on Friday, the renowned actress and filmmaker discussed with Planet Chronicle Digital her feelings about being celebrated and forever etched in Hollywood, something her sons Charlie and Kit aren't particularly enthusiastic about.
Her HBO show, "True Detective," is enjoyed by her sons, who she shares with ex Cydney Bernard, but their interest stops there.
"Unfortunately, my sons are not likely to watch my other projects. They appear to be uninterested in my career."
Charlie and Kit were fans of "Silence of the Lambs" and "Bugsy Malone," which debuted in 1991 and 1976, respectively.

Sadly, it appears they don't care much, she continued.
"Acting is not just about following in my footsteps, but also about developing critical thinking, reading, curiosity, and creativity. I try to inspire my sons to pursue a career in acting by encouraging them to explore these aspects of life," she said.
Foster stated that she has two sons, one who is an actor and the other who is a scientist and does not want to act.
On her special day, which was showcased by Turner Classic Movies (TCM), Foster couldn't help but recall her mother and how she would have reacted to the ceremony. Evelyn Ella Almond passed away in 2019 at the age of 91.
"I kept thinking about my mom today because she would have loved this, but she would have also been mad at me because she would have said, 'Why didn't you do this earlier and why aren't you wearing high heels?'"
Jodie Foster fulfilled her childhood dream by having her hands and feet cemented in front of the TLC Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
On Friday, Foster got a pedicure so she could put her feet into the cement.
As a child, she dreamed of being honored in such a way, and now that dream has become a reality.
""We'd have dinner and then measure our feet in cement to relive our childhood fantasy, which isn't related to my acting work but more about being a kid and being remembered for it," Foster stated."
