David Schwimmer delivered divorce documents to Rod Stewart.
While working as a process server for his mother, a then-teenaged Schwimmer served Stewart legal documents.
As a teenager, David Schwimmer had an awkward encounter with a renowned celebrity while working.
On "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," the 58-year-old actor revealed that he had numerous banana jobs in his youth, one of which resulted in a meeting with musician Rod Stewart.
"During my sophomore year in college, I was seeking employment and my mother suggested that I become a process server for her law firm. As a divorce lawyer, she would have me deliver legal documents to clients."
The actor felt like James Bond when he received a tip and found the person.
"The "Friends" star said, laughing, "I'm glad I've never met Rod Stewart again since I served him, but I'm not sure if he knows. I don't think he knows.""
If the two were to ever run into each other later down the road, Colbert joked that he now "knows to punch you."
Stewart was married to Alana Stewart from 1979 to 1984 and then Rachel Hunter, from 1990 to 2006. He is currently married to Penny Lancaster, whom he tied the knot with in 2007.
R. L. Stine's popular children's horror novels have been adapted into a Disney + anthology series, "Goosebumps," with the second season, "Goosebumps: The Vanishing," being promoted on a late night talk show by actor Jason Schwimmer.
In the latest installment, Schwimmer plays a divorced father of two who takes a break from his job as a botanist to care for his mother, who is struggling with dementia. While doing so, he also takes care of his twins and advances his research in a homemade lab.
"He revealed to The Hollywood Reporter in January that he has always been a fan of horror, particularly horror action-comedy, and finds the genre thrilling. He stated that he is a true fan and has never been asked to do it."
"Once, oh man, thank goodness I've never run into him since, but I served Rod Stewart. I don't even know if he knows. I don't think he knows." — David Schwimmer
For the first time, Schwimmer is starring in a horror show, signaling a new phase in his acting career.
During his time on "Friends," Schwimmer portrayed a father of two, but "Friends" allows the actor to delve into the experience of being a father to teenagers on screen.
"I haven't been able to experience being a father of a teenager in real life, but that aspect of me was also thrilled," he said to the outlet. "It adds another layer of significance at this stage."
