Darryl Worley's daughter is airlifted to hospital after a head-on car crash in Nashville.
In the collision, Savannah, Darryl Worley's daughter, suffered a 'broken leg, bruises and lacerations'.
In Nashville, a car crash resulted in injuries for Darryl Worley's 16-year-old daughter, Savannah, who was subsequently airlifted to the hospital.
On Sunday, Worley, 60, posted on Facebook about Savannah's accident and requested his followers to pray for those involved in the two-car collision.
Kimberly Lee Perkins, the "I Miss My Friend" hitmaker, wrote about a serious request. He is flying back to Nashville from a show in New Mexico and received a call from Kimberly that Savannah had been in a bad wreck and was being life-flighted to Vanderbuilt Medical Center in Nashville.
He continued, "She has a broken leg, bruises, and lacerations. Please pray for her and pray I can get home to be with my baby girl and Kimberly. Additionally, pray for the lady in the other car."
Worley stated that he lacked specifics about the accident but requested prayers.
In his post, Worley shared a photo of himself with Savannah, along with images of two red and white cars that were involved in a head-on collision. The cars sustained significant damage, with their hoods and bumpers crushed, and parts of the wheel, including the rim of the red car's left wheel, as well as other debris scattered on the ground.
On Tuesday, Woley posted a photo of his daughter smiling in a hospital bed with tubes attached to machines, along with an update on her condition.
Although it's raining today, my sunshine is smiling brightly!!" Worley wrote on Facebook. "Despite the challenges we've faced lately, we trust that God is watching over Savannah and keeping her safe!
He concluded that today looks better than yesterday or the day before, although he is still unsure when she will be able to go home. He added the hashtags #mygirl #mybaby #sweetlucy #savannah #praiseJesus.
The Nashville Police Department's public information officer did not provide any additional details about the accident when contacted by Planet Chronicle Digital.
Planet Chronicle Digital did not receive an immediate response from a representative of Worley when requested a comment.
Kimberly, whom Worley married in December 2007, shares Savannah with him. Prior to marrying Kimberly, Worley was married to Beverly Irwin from May 2001 to July 2006.
Although the driver of the other car in the crash was not publicly identified, Allison, the daughter of the driver of the red car in Worley's photos, revealed that her mother was driving the car and is now hospitalized in serious, but stable condition.
""She's stable and alert, but she's been through some surgeries and was airlifted. Now, she's in a nightmare with how everything has blown up," Allison said."
"Allison stated that the incident was unintentional. She has communicated with Savannah's family and they share a familial connection. She keeps in touch with her mother."
"The families are grateful for any prayers offered to both sides," she stated. "The journey ahead will be arduous."
On Nov. 16, Worley played a show at the Inn of the Mountain Gods in Mescalero, New Mexico, and then flew home to be with his daughter after she had an accident.
In the past year, the Worleys have faced a string of difficult events. As reported by Taste of Country, their property experienced a barn fire in January. Despite this, their barn animals were safe as they managed to escape the flames.
In August, Kimberly had surgery following a car accident in which she broke her arm.
In 1999, Worley began his country music career and released his debut album "Hard Rain Don't Last" the following year. He followed up with "I Miss My Friend" in 2002, with the album's title track becoming his first single to reach the number one spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
In 2003, Worley's third studio album, "Hard Rain Don't Last," included "Have You Forgotten?," a song about the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. This song reached the top of the Billboard Hot Country Charts and stayed there for seven weeks. Additionally, it charted at number 22 on the Hot 100 chart. In June 2023, Worley released a follow-up song to the hit, titled "Have We Forgotten?"
In January 2005, "Awful, Beautiful Lie" by Worley became the lead single from his third self-titled studio album, which was released in July 2004.
In 2006, the four-time CMA Awards nominee released his fifth studio album, "Here and Now," which was followed by his sixth and most recent record, "Sounds Like Life," in 2009. Throughout his six albums, Worley has had a total of 18 songs on the Billboard Hot Country Charts.
