Clint Eastwood 'saved' his daughter by raising her outside of Los Angeles: 'I am very grateful'
In Northern California, Alison Eastwood, the founder of the Eastwood Ranch Foundation Animal Welfare and Rescue facility, grew up away from the limelight.
Alison, Clint Eastwood's daughter, is "extremely grateful" that her renowned father chose to raise her outside of Los Angeles.
The founder of the Eastwood Ranch Foundation Animal Welfare and Rescue facility revealed in an interview with Planet Chronicle Digital that her father rescued her from the difficulties she would have faced growing up in Hollywood with a famous parent.
"Alison shared that growing up in the entertainment industry was fascinating, even though she didn't grow up in Los Angeles. Instead, she was raised in the Carmel, Pebble Beach, and Monterey area, which she believes helped her avoid some of the challenges that might have come with having a celebrity parent in L.A."
Since 2000, she has been a resident of Los Angeles and considers herself a longtime Angeleno. She is a passionate advocate for Southern California and is committed to contributing to the community in any way she can. Although she was born in Santa Monica, she believes that her true calling is to help the community and be a part of the solution.
In 2012, Alison established the Eastwood Ranch Foundation Animal Welfare and Rescue nonprofit organization in Agoura Hills, California. The organization's mission is to rescue animals from high-kill shelters, reduce pet overpopulation, and increase pet adoptions through various initiatives, including campaigns, events, education, spay/neuter programs, and rescue partnerships.
"Although I didn't really grow up in L.A., which I am very thankful for, I grew up in the Carmel, Pebble Beach, Monterey area, and I feel like maybe that kind of saved me from some of the pitfalls that might have happened when a child grows up with a celebrity parent in Los Angeles." — Alison Eastwood
"Alison shared with Planet Chronicle Digital that she loves both people and animals and believes they should unite, stating, "This is the best way to make it happen.""
Alison revealed that she founded her organization due to the growing awareness she had of the overpopulation issue in Southern California shelters, which eventually spread nationwide.
Clint Eastwood raised his daughter outside of Los Angeles.
"Although I initially wanted to focus on local activities, I started an animal rescue. Now, after over a decade of operating without a physical location, we've opened our own facility. Our goal is to not only help more animals but also serve as a community resource for volunteer and educational programs. At our new location, people can adopt a new furry companion or family member while feeling good about their contribution to the community."
For over a decade, Clint has consistently supported his daughter's business endeavors.
"My family and I have been incredibly supportive, and we're all a team. We're all animal lovers and have been long-time nature and philanthropic supporters. So, he's thrilled."
Being on-set with Clint as her father was always fun for Alison while growing up.

"I recall assisting with craft service and clapboard before filming began, and it was enjoyable. Similarly, my brother and I used to spend a lot of time exploring as children."
An eight-child family, Clint is both a celebrated actor and a former mayor of Carmel.
Besides Alison, Clint is also a father to seven other kids, including daughters Laurie, Kimber, and Morgan, and sons Kyle, Scott, and Kathryn.
Over the years, Alison has received valuable advice from her father, Clint, who is now 94 years old.
"My dad's best advice to me was to prioritize getting enough sleep. He emphasized that without enough rest, I wouldn't be able to perform well," she stated.
Rest will aid Alison in achieving her goals for the Eastwood Ranch Foundation Animal Welfare and Rescue.

"Since we opened, I want to ensure this place is thriving. My next major objective is to travel to Sacramento and develop a comprehensive bill to promote spay and neuter," she stated to Planet Chronicle Digital.
"One of our major issues is the lack of a comprehensive spay and neuter law in California, and we need one. As a bipartisan individual, I want to go up there and find a solution to this problem, making it more mandatory for pets to be spayed or neutered. We need to make it more accessible for people who want to fix their pets, as many pets are turned in or owner surrendered."
Alison concluded that keeping families together, including both four-legged and two-legged members, is one of their biggest goals.
