Clint Eastwood and Frances Fisher's daughter, Francesca Eastwood, stars in the new film 'Running on Empty.'
Francesca Eastwood, the daughter of Clint Eastwood and Frances Fisher, mused on the bittersweet nature of seeing her parents as grandparents to her son, despite her own strict upbringing.
The actress, who is 31 years old and starring in the new movie "Running on Empty," has a son named Titan, who is 5 years old, with her boyfriend, Alexander Wraith.
In an interview with Planet Chronicle Digital, Eastwood revealed that her parents' relationship with Titan was described by Clint as "amazing," making him an exceptional grandfather.
"Just the sweetest," said the "Outlaws and Angels" star. "My dad was very strict and my mom, too. As a kid, they were both strict with me. Now, it's lovely to see them as classic grandparents who dote on their grandson and see him as perfect."
"And they have their own relationship that I'm obviously involved in," Eastwood added. "They're fantastic, and they're so present."
"Nurturing those relationships is the most crucial aspect of my life at the moment, as it is a unique connection that sets it apart from everything else."
Clint and Fisher, both 94 and 72 respectively, met in 1989 and went public with their relationship in 1990. They co-starred in the 1992 Western "Unforgiven," which Clint also directed. The film won four Academy Awards, including best picture and best director for Clint. The couple split in 1995.
Francesca Eastwood reveals the "excellent advice" she received from her father, Clint Eastwood.
Recalling her time with her parents on movie sets, Eastwood said it was a "huge blessing" while speaking with Planet Chronicle Digital.
Looking back, I realize that they included me and had me visit, even though at the time, I didn't appreciate it as much as I do now.
Her parents inspired her to become an actress while mentoring her on set, as Eastwood recalled.
""They always spoke to me like an adult about filmmaking and acting, whether it was watching movies or sitting behind the camera, directing, or in hair and makeup," Eastwood continued."
"She added, "I have such a respect and appreciation for the effort that goes into making a film. Being on set, no matter what the set is, feels like home to me. While some sets are better than others, I feel grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it all. It opened my world to something I love and I appreciate being treated like an adult while doing it at such a young age.""
Eastwood disclosed to Planet Chronicle Digital that she sought acting advice from both her parents and explained the differences in their guidance.
She said that her dad's best advice is to persist and continue producing, regardless of obstacles.
"I always ask him, "I'm like, 'All right, I'm going off.' And he always just says, ‘Just do a good job. Just focus on your part and do a good job. And you know, it's the director's movie and all you can do is do your best and just keep your head down. Do a good job.'""
"Which is great life advice, too," she added.
Eastwood's mother has a more traditional approach to the craft, according to Eastwood.
"Eastwood stated that his mom is very strict about old-school acting advice, which has broadened his perspective on the more analytical and high-quality plays."
Uta Hagan, Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg, and Konstantin Stanislavski's techniques and exercises were introduced to Eastwood by "The Lincoln Lawyer" star.
Despite her parents' support for her acting career, Eastwood confessed that she experiences "pressure" to meet their expectations.

"My dad's best advice is to keep going, keep churning them out no matter what." — Francesca Eastwood
She felt a sense of unease, wondering what her parents would think when they saw what she was doing.
"Yes, there is pressure," Eastwood stated. "And I am proud of them. I am proud to be their daughter. They are both incredibly talented and impressive. Despite the pressure, I want them to provide critical feedback or whatever it is that I do."
During an interview with Planet Chronicle Digital, Eastwood discussed her childhood memories of being on movie sets and which productions stood out to her the most.
She chuckled and said, "I'd likely choose 'Million Dollar Baby' and 'Titanic.' Those are well-known films, no secret there."
In "Titanic," Fisher portrayed Ruth DeWitt Bukater, the wealthy and snobbish mother of Rose Dewitt Bukater, the film's main character played by Kate Winslet. Fisher's character disapproves of her daughter's relationship with the impoverished artist, portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio, and takes measures to end it.
The 1997 film "Titanic," which portrays the real-life tragic sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912, became a major blockbuster, grossing over $2 billion worldwide. It won a total of 11 Academy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, and four Grammy Awards.
As a child, Eastwood was on the set of "Titanic" quite a bit during its production from July 1996 to March 1997.
"I was likely 4 and 5 years old," she stated. "I still recall it vividly. That made me fall in love with the notion of time travel, changing age, and creating a serious movie that everyone would be crying about."
""Although I didn't understand the reason behind their tears, it seems like everyone is having a great time and there's a lot of love and joy behind the scenes," Eastwood stated."
In 2004, Clint Eastwood directed, co-produced, scored, and starred in the sports drama "Million Dollar Baby," which was a critical and commercial success, grossing $216.8 million in worldwide ticket sales.

The film 'Million Dollar Baby' received seven Academy Award nominations and won in the categories of best picture, best director, best actress for Hilary Swank, and best supporting actor for Morgan Freeman.
"I witnessed the making of "Million Dollar Baby" and observed the actors' performances. Seeing the audience's reaction to it, I realized the impact of this medium in reaching people and evoking emotions."
Clint Eastwood is a father to seven other children, including daughter Laurie, 69, son Kyle, 56, daughter Alison, 52, daughter Kimber, 60, son Scott, 38, daughter Kathryn, 36, and daughter Morgan, 27.
Clint's children have consistently expressed that he has always been highly engaged in their lives, despite his demanding family and career.
Over the past ten years, Clint had been romantically involved with Christina Sandera, a philanthropist who passed away last month at the age of 61 from cardiac arrhythmia and coronary artery disease.
In an interview with Planet Chronicle Digital, Eastwood discussed her father's coping mechanism after losing his longtime partner.
"He is the strongest person I know," she said. "It's never easy when things like this happen. And he's himself, and he's handled things with grace and with a beauty that I think few other people could."
Clint produced the 1994 drama "The Stars Fell on Henrietta," in which Eastwood made her film debut. She later appeared in two films directed by her father, "True Crime" in 1999 and "Jersey Boys" in 2014.

Nicole, Mort's fiancee, was portrayed as the "villain" in "Running on Empty" by Eastwood, who described the script as "dark" and "morbid." She admitted that she didn't feel a strong connection to her character in the film.
"She's the evil girlfriend who is shameless," Eastwood said. "What I didn't relate to was how just absolutely shameless this character was."
"The actress stated that she is not overly self-conscious about the question "Am I on my phone too much or am I going to break someone's heart?" and that she saw it as a challenge to tackle."
"Although I believe we all share a certain level of concern about the opinions of others and material possessions, I must admit that I am not too far from the valley. In fact, she is a valley girl."
"Running on Empty" conveys a message that Eastwood wants film-goers to remember.
According to Eastwood, it's difficult to determine what an audience should derive from a piece of art or a film, but if they're not laughing, they're crying.
""If someone can find positivity or laughter in something so dark, then that would be great," she said."
