Clint Eastwood's daughter made a career out of family tradition with 'Wheel of Fortune'

For the past 20 years, Kimber Lynn Eastwood has been a successful professional makeup artist on various films and television shows, including "Wheel of Fortune." Now, the daughter of legendary actor Clint Eastwood is revealing how a family tradition led to a full-circle moment.

In an exclusive interview with Planet Chronicle Digital, Kimber revealed how she landed her job on "Wheel of Fortune" in 2005, discussed Ryan Seacrest's adjustment to Pat Sajak's former role, and shared how she went from following in her father's footsteps to finding her own path.

"Kimber stated that her grandmother from Scranton, Pennsylvania, was very traditional. She added that they watched "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy!" every night with her mom and aunts."

"My dad is aware of my appearance on the show, and during our conversations, when I mention my upcoming 'Wheel' episode, he has been very encouraging about my career progression."

Kimber, the only child of Clint and the late Roxanne Tunis, an actress known for her role in "Blue City," initially believed it was natural to follow in her parents' footsteps. However, life's challenges led her down a different path.

Kimber, a single mom who worked as a waitress at Marmalade Cafe in Westlake and auditioned during the day, was approached by her boss and asked to visit "Wheel" to see what it was all about.

She stated, "I adore applying makeup to the contestants because they are so joyful and grateful, and their enthusiasm is contagious. The atmosphere is always lively and enjoyable."

"She continued, "I make an effort to communicate with them and help them relax. The contestant department is exceptional in what they do with them. They spend around five hours preparing before going on stage. Therefore, we strive to make them feel as comfortable as possible and assure them that they will look stunning on stage.""

Kimber, who has worked with Sajak and White for two decades, praised their kindness and humility. She expressed her excitement for Seacrest to take over as host, as Sajak's last episode aired earlier this year.

Kimber praised Ryan's performance as a seasoned host, stating that he stepped into the role like he had been doing it for 100 years. She added that Ryan was so professional and that they were used to seeing Pat for 40 years, but Ryan was just as great. Kimber also mentioned that she liked both hosts equally and thought they were both very talented, on the sly, witty, and sharp men.

Kimber, who is a mother to son Clinton, stated that she enjoys spending time with her family outside of work.

"Clint is great with all the grandkids," Kimber said. "He's older and more settled in his life. He loves being a grandpa and loves all of us."

Laurie Murray, Kimber, Kyle Eastwood, Alison Eastwood, Scott Eastwood, Kathryn Eastwood, Francesca Eastwood, and Morgan Eastwood are the eight children of the award-winning actor and director.

Clint was married twice. His first marriage, from 1953-64, was to model Maggie Johnson. They didn't finalize their divorce until 1984. He then married Dina Ruiz in 1996, and the couple divorced in 2014.

Recently, Clint grieved the passing of his longtime partner, Christina Sandera, who passed away on July 18 at the age of 61.

"Kimber stated, "Initially, we were all in shock and it was a struggle. However, I believe the shock value has worn off. When someone close to you passes away, there's a different vibe. You learn to live with it.""

Kimber will continue to live by her dad's famous words, "Just be yourself," as the family adjusts to their new normal.
