Carol Alt is revealing her secrets to getting in shape for 2024.
An '80s supermodel, who recently joined OnlyFans, provided some weight loss tips for the holiday season.
The former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl stated on Monday that consuming protein earlier in the day would make her feel more full.
To keep feeling full longer during the day, the 63-year-old recommends starting the day with a protein-packed shake. Before leaving, Alt prefers to fill up on fruit to avoid snacking, especially at festive gatherings with friends.
""I consume protein early and finish with fruit to avoid overeating. Sometimes I blend fruit into a slushy or juice before leaving," said Alt."
Alt claims that staying hydrated helps her avoid overeating mindlessly, particularly when she's out at night, as reported by the outlet.
"She drinks water throughout the evening to stay hydrated and add flavor with a lemon or lime, so people don't try to give her something because she is empty-handed."
Alt advised that if you must drink alcohol, you can cut it with seltzer spritzers, tonic water, or just water to get the flavor without the calories.
Whenever you want to enjoy a snack, pile up on the veggies, the Vogue pinup recommended.
"When I visit my friend's house, I always bring something I can eat to join in the meal," said Alt. "I choose carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and cucumbers because they are tasty and easy to eat while mingling. I can eat them with my hands without needing a knife and fork. Additionally, I dip them in lemon juice, cold-pressed olive oil, and salt for added health benefits."
Not getting enough sleep is a common mistake people make when trying to achieve their weight loss goals, according to Alt.
"I always feel hungry when I'm tired, but taking a nap in the afternoon before going out and doing a small workout daily can help keep my hunger down. It's important to never deprive myself, but to aim for healthy food choices and eat a minimal amount to avoid overeating."
Over the course of her career spanning several decades, Alt has graced more than 700 magazine covers. In 1982, she secured the coveted SI Swimsuit cover, shot by John G. Zimmerman in Kenya. Following her success, Life Magazine dubbed her "The Next Million Dollar Face," and soon after, Playboy named her "The Most Beautiful Woman in the World."
In July, Alt revealed to the outlet that her secrets to looking and feeling youthful are following a raw food diet and maintaining consistent exercise.
In 1996, Alt adopted a raw diet, which has since been reported on Page Six. She has since written several books detailing the diet's "life-changing benefits."
The raw food diet emphasizes natural, unprocessed ingredients and is known for its health benefits.
Previously, Parade magazine reported that Alt consumed "clean, organic, unprocessed food."
In 2020, Page Six reported that Alt follows a strict workout routine. She alternates between using a Pilates PRO chair and a Core 46 machine. She also cycles in the sauna, jumps on a trampoline, lifts weights, and does lunges and squats. Parade magazine also reported Alt likes Yogalates, a combination of yoga and Pilates, as well as cardio.
Alt claims on her website that she advocates for consuming 75 to 95% raw food. She eats grass-fed meat and fresh fish that are not farm-raised.
"Seventeen years ago, I relied on over-the-counter drugs such as Afrin, Tums, and Tylenol. Now, I don't take any medication. When people ask me how I achieved this, I simply say that I changed my diet. However, when I mention that I went raw, they become confused and frustrated, claiming they lack the discipline to follow such a strict diet."
"My switch to a raw diet led to increased satiety, constant hunger satisfaction, and sustained energy levels. Now, raw food options are abundant and easy to find, making it a popular choice for many people."
In 2017, Alt revealed to Planet Chronicle Digital the reasons behind her decision to change her lifestyle.
"At the time, she stated that it began as a vanity project. She was on a shoot and was 34-35 years old. A 22-year-old model was present, and the entire set was drawn to her due to her energy and enthusiasm for life. She was jumping around and having a great time, and her behavior put the speaker to shame. The speaker was fascinated by her."
"She shared that she wasn't angry or jealous of her, but she was thinking, 'How did I go from feeling so good to feeling tired, bloated, and ugly? I'm hiding behind rocks and I don't want to be here. What happened?' She started researching and praying because she realized there was something happening."
"I tried the Beverly Hills diet, but it was disgusting and I was throwing up frozen blueberries. It was horrible. I also tried not eating, but it wasn't good for me."
Alt suggested the raw food diet and after trying it, she felt good about herself again.
"I no longer worry about my ailments, such as heartburn, headaches, sinuses, and infection, since I've never experienced them again after changing my diet. The relief was instantaneous, and we're not told that all of these are related to food. Instead, we're simply advised to take a pill."
