Candace Cameron Bure shares her easy tips for staying fit during summertime.
Throughout her years, Bure has openly discussed her health and wellness journey, including the eating disorder she developed after "Full House" aired from 1987 to 1995.
After the series ended, Bure relocated to Montreal to support her husband's hockey career. Feeling lonely and isolated, she noticed a change in her relationship with food. With the help and support she received, she eventually adopted healthier eating habits.
"Bure shared with Planet Chronicle Digital in 2020 that her journey with food and fitness has been ongoing. She has been open about her eating disorder in her early 20s and still thinks about making good choices to stay on track. The key for her was understanding and listening to her body, which led her to realize how much better she feels when she makes good choices."
"I eat everything, but I know I have to eat in small portions and moderation because overeating can lead to a never-ending cycle of feeling unwell. I realized that by avoiding overeating, I can break this cycle and improve my health."
"I enjoy cheat days," she said. "I eat whatever I want, but I try to consume unhealthy foods in moderation. My go-to snacks are chips and guacamole, and when I crave something sweet, ice cream is my go-to."
Bure previously stated that she was not always enthusiastic about exercise as part of her workout routine.
"I didn't always love working out, especially as a kid, young teen, or even in my early 20s. However, I found the joy of fitness in my 30s because I discovered activities I enjoyed, found the fun in it, and met people I liked working out with."
