California fires spared the homes of James Woods, Jennifer Garner, and Molly Sims.
The homes of Jennie Garth and Steve Guttenberg were spared from the devastating effects of the California wildfires.
Some celebrities, including James Woods, were fortunate to have their homes spared from the California wildfires' destruction.
After evacuating his Pacific Palisades home due to a fire, the actor initially feared he had lost his house. However, upon returning, he shared a positive update.
Woods posted a video of the view from his deck on X, formerly Twitter, with the caption "A miracle has happened."
"Despite being told that our property and home were destroyed forever, we were able to reach them and find that they are still standing. However, in this desolate environment, the term "standing" takes on a new meaning, as smoke and other signs of damage are evident."
In the video posted by Woods, he moved the camera around to reveal charred earth and destroyed structures, with smoke still billowing in the background.
He said, "That's Pali High School," while filming the wreckage on the charter school's campus.
Woods zoomed in on a badly damaged house, stating, "That's our neighbor's home."
As Woods recorded, a young man poured water on bushes and wood siding.
"Francis, who was saved by us, is now fighting fires on our hillside," he said. In a previous X post, Woods shared how he had assisted in the evacuation of an elderly neighbor.
Before focusing on his neighbor's house, Woods showed his viewers a 360-degree view of the destruction.
"Wow, check this out," Woods exclaimed. "Amazing!"
In a followup post, Woods thanked his fans for their support.
"I'm so happy and grateful for all the beautiful messages I received, but the entire area looks like the dark side of the moon," he said.
"The news that our home survived is joyous, but it's so fundamentally gut-wrenching and upsetting that it's almost hard to celebrate."
Several other celebrities have disclosed that their homes were not destroyed by the wildfires, like Woods.
Jennifer Garner
Jennifer Garner returned to her Pacific Palisades neighborhood to volunteer and confirmed that her home survived the Palisades Fire.
On Friday, the actress reflected on the destruction while standing amid rubble during an interview with MSNBC.
Garner stated, "My heart aches for my friends. I can easily imagine 100 families losing their homes, resulting in 5,000 homes being destroyed. Without hesitation, I could compile a list of 100 friends who have lost their homes."
"I feel almost guilty walking through my house," she said. "What can I do? How can I help? What can I offer? What do I have to offer with these hands and these walls and the safety that I have?"
One of her friends died in the wildfires, causing the "Alias" alum to break down in tears as she shared the news.
"I lost a friend, and it's a tender moment for our church. Therefore, I don't think it's appropriate to discuss it yet," Garner stated. "I lost a friend. She didn't make it out in time."
Molly Sims
The wildfires that ravaged Pacific Palisades did not destroy Molly Sims' home.
The actress posted a series of photos on Instagram depicting the fires and their aftermath, stating "Our home is currently safe."
"I say this with a heavy heart, knowing that many cannot share the same sentiment. Our beloved community has endured the unimaginable, and my heart is broken. Entire neighborhoods, homes, schools, playgrounds, and restaurants - places that hold memories, laughter, and so much of what makes us who we are - have been destroyed. My friends have lost everything. I struggle to find the words to express the pain and devastation that engulfs us."
Sims was impressed by the unity she observed in the community and commended first responders.
Despite the heartache, she was amazed by the strength and unity that had emerged. People had come together in unexpected ways, providing support and care to one another, even when the weight of it all seemed unbearable.
Firefighters and first responders, who tirelessly work around the clock, are true heroes. Despite being stretched beyond their limits, they remain dedicated to saving lives. Their courage is unmatched, and they did everything in their power to prevent the situation from worsening. Unfortunately, we ran out of water.
I have shared resources on my page and will continue to do so as we navigate through this together. @ysebeauty is moving quickly to find meaningful ways to support the community. If you can, please help in any way you can. I believe, with all my heart, that we will get through this together.
"In the meantime, please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Your messages, love, and support mean the world. Thank you, Pali strong."
Jennie Garth
Jennie Garth thanked her ex-husband Peter Facinelli for providing shelter to her family during the wildfires, as her home survived the disaster.
On Tuesday night, the actress and her daughters Fiona, Lola, and Luca evacuated to her ex-husband's home with her husband Dave Abrams.
On Wednesday, she posted an emotional video on Instagram, stating in the caption, "I wanted to inform you that we are safe. Peter and his family welcomed us and have been incredibly kind. I am heartbroken for our city and simply feel numb."
Our home was spared, but we have a lot of cleaning up to do before we can get active to help our neighbors, friends, and fellow Angelinos. Dave has been amazing, transporting all our bags and boxes, loading and unloading. Please keep everyone who is suffering in your heart and prayers.
"I'm grateful that we're all okay and have a place to return to, as the 'Beverly Hills, 90210' alum said. This situation will affect people differently, so please reach out and offer help. Your kindness truly means a lot. Thank you for the love being sent our way."
Steve Guttenberg
As he toured the aftermath of the Palisades Fire, Steve Guttenberg disclosed that his house had survived the flames.
In an interview with The Associated Press, the actor expressed his mixed feelings about his home surviving while many others' properties were destroyed.
Guttenberg stated that he was acutely aware of his mental state and health this morning due to the recent tragedies he had witnessed. He revealed that his home has electricity but no running water.
Although Guttenberg thanked God that his home was spared, he stated that approximately 20 homes in his 80-home community were severely damaged by the wind-fueled fires that ravaged Los Angeles, leaving destruction in their wake and causing chaos on the roads as tens of thousands of people fled.
Guttenberg, who had returned to his neighborhood to help others with relief efforts, told the AP that the fire was the worst he had seen in his life. He helped move cars to clear the street, handed out food, and assisted neighbors from their homes.
Guttenberg stated that he had observed individuals experiencing fear, those in wheelchairs, mothers and fathers searching for their children, and people suffering from anxiety and panic attacks.

"Behind me, all these houses burned to the ground, where families shared wonderful times together with their loved ones," he said. "There is a lot of pain going on right now. I am doing everything I can to ease it."
During the start of awards season, Guttenberg expressed uncertainty about how the film and TV industry could contribute.
"Regardless of whether someone is an actor, producer, writer, or director, we are all just people. We should help each other, give each other food and water, and assist in our backyards and front yards. Being a good neighbor is the best way to support one another right now, even if someone decides to donate to a fund at a later time."
