Brandi Glanville believes her face was attacked by a parasite, while Terry Dubrow calls her a "ticking time bomb."
Brandi Glanville has spent over $70,000 on medical treatments in her quest to find relief from her facial pain.
Brandi Glanville is determined to battle for her life, two years after a trip to Africa caused a significant change in her life, resulting in a parasite in her face, as doctors have suggested.
Glanville, 52, has spent over $70,000 on medical treatments after seeing numerous doctors in search of an answer to the medical mystery that has affected her daily life and disfigured her face.
Recently, Glanville has discovered comfort through CellSound treatments, which enhance blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, and has been communicating with fellow celebrity Dr. Terry Dubrow.
Glanville exclusively told Planet Chronicle Digital that doctors have suggested that her disfigured face could be due to a parasite, but they are not certain.
Glanville experienced depression symptoms two years ago after returning from Africa. Five months later, she began losing her ability to speak and her speech became slurred.
In October 2023, she collapsed at home following a stressful move and was subsequently hospitalized.
"Glanville stated, "My face and throat swelled, and my son called 911. I was in the hospital for a few days, and they said it was stress-induced angioedema, which I found hard to believe.""
Angioedema is a skin reaction similar to hives that affects deeper layers of the skin. It can occur with hives or on its own, according to the Mayo Clinic. Despite her symptoms persisting and worsening, Glanville was not convinced that angioedema was the issue and prioritized finding a solution to her health concerns.
"My whole face swelled up; my throat closed, and my son called 911. I was in the hospital for a few days, and they said it was stress-induced angioedema, and I just didn't believe it." — Brandi Glanville
"Glanville told Planet Chronicle Digital that he went to multiple specialists, including an immunologist, a radiologist, a rheumatologist, and a dermatologist, but none of them have been able to determine the cause of his symptoms. They have suggested that it could be a parasite, but they are not certain."
The former model, who has been unable to work due to a mysterious illness, has almost depleted her savings account and admits that her mental health has also been affected. She stated that her outlook on life has been "very grim" at times.
"Glanville confessed that he was scared of not being able to pay his rent and fulfill his responsibilities, which made him feel uncertain about his purpose again."
Glanville stated that although he had hoped to have an answer by now, he doesn't. The only thing that has helped so far is the CellSound treatment.
Dr. Nicholas Nikolov, a top plastic surgeon, stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that the CellSound treatments utilize ultrasound technology to improve tissue health without decreasing fatty layers in the face.
Patients experience "electric stimulation" during treatments that last between 20 and 40 minutes.
"I needed to figure out my purpose again, and I'm scared of not being able to pay my rent and do all the things that I need to do. So it's just a really scary time." — Brandi Glanville
Dr. Dubrow has offered his services to Glanville, but he has warned her that her facial issue is a ticking time bomb.
Dubrow stated to TMZ last week that she must determine if there is a microorganism present, which is not a parasite or something she consumed, but rather something that entered her bloodstream.
"If the microorganism remains on her skin for a minute, she may experience more harm."
"I thought by now I would have an answer, but I don't. Doing the CellSound treatment is actually the only thing, so far, that has helped." — Brandi Glanville
Dubrow, who collaborates with "Botched" co-star Paul Nassif, stated that Brandi requires a correct diagnosis.
He suggested that she might require a surgical procedure to obtain a tissue sample for diagnosis.
Dubrow's offer was co-signed on by Glanville in a message shared on X, and she expressed her willingness to collaborate with her former "Real Housewives" cast member.
"Thank you for all the love," she said. "We have been in touch and plan to talk."
Glanville acknowledged online speculation about past problems with injectables and stated that "all fillers in my face have been dissolved."
Currently, the ex-reality star is maintaining a hopeful outlook for her sons' future, despite her past relationship with Eddie Cibrian.
Glanville shared that she has a chalkboard in her kitchen which she keeps up year-round. It has remained blank until now, when she decided to write on it. She penned "It's time to pivot" followed by "Lean in."
Glanville stated, "I've been struggling, and I'm unsure of what that pivot is, but it's time for me to create something new for myself."
