Blake Lively's husband is accused of mocking Justin Baldoni in the 'Deadpool' movie by Justin Baldoni, who is preparing to sue the actress.
Justin Baldoni was sued for sexual harassment by Blake Lively following the filming of 'It Ends With Us'.
Justin Baldoni is seeking to preserve "evidence" as he prepares to sue his ex-co-star, Blake Lively.
After starring together in "It Ends With Us," Lively sued Baldoni for sexual harassment. Since the movie's release in August, Lively has accused Baldoni of intentionally damaging her reputation through a smear campaign.
Lively and Reynolds are being sued by Baldoni, who has requested that Disney and Marvel Studios preserve all relevant documents and data.
A litigation holding letter sent to Disney's Bob Iger and Marvel's Kevin Feige, viewed by Planet Chronicle Digital, advises Marvel to take all necessary measures to prevent the destruction of any evidence that may be relevant to ongoing litigation.
"Marvel should take all appropriate action to avoid destruction of potentially relevant evidence." — Bryan Freedman, lawyer for Justin Baldoni
A litigation holding letter typically precedes a lawsuit.
Marvel was requested to preserve documents regarding the creation of the "Deadpool" franchise by the holding letter. Reynolds' lawyer suggested that Baldoni was mocked by the character Nicepool in "Deadpool & Wolverine."
Baldoni's lawyer, Bryan Freedman, requested any documents that demonstrate a deliberate attempt to mock, harass, ridicule, intimidate, or bully Baldoni through the character of 'Nicepool,' as well as any documents that relate or reflect any deliberate attempt to link the character of 'Nicepool' to Justin Baldoni.
Freedman previously stated on Megyn Kelly's show that there's no doubt the character relates to Justin, as evidenced by their hair bun and pregnancy comment.
If someone is seriously sexually harassed, it's not appropriate to make light of it; it's a serious matter, the lawyer emphasized.
Planet Chronicle Digital did not receive a response from the representatives of Lively and Reynolds when requested for comment.
Baldoni and film producer Jamey Heath made detailed allegations of sexual harassment, retaliation, intentional affliction of emotional distress, negligence and more in a complaint filed with the California Civil Rights department and later in federal court.
The actress held an "all hands" meeting on Jan. 4, 2024, to discuss the alleged behavior of Baldoni and Heath, which her husband Reynolds also attended.
"Ms. Lively was obligated to confront issues regarding Mr. Baldoni and Mr. Heath's improper behavior with them personally, and she started doing so prior to filming, according to the complaint. The concerns she raised were not only for her own protection but also for the safety of the other female cast and crew members, some of whom had also spoken out."
Freedman previously stated to The Times that the claims were false, outrageous, and intended to harm and rehash a narrative in the media.
Lively may also face a separate lawsuit from Baldoni's lawyer.
Lively's team verified her claims with solid evidence.
"Her lawyers stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that the ongoing conflict between her and Wayfarer Studios is not a result of "creative differences" or a "he said/she said" situation. Instead, they claimed that Wayfarer Studios and its associates engaged in unlawful, retaliatory astroturfing against her for attempting to protect herself and others on a film set. Furthermore, her lawyers asserted that Wayfarer Studios' response to the lawsuit has been to launch more attacks against her since she filed it."
