Beyoncé's mother alleges she was hacked and states she does not support the post regarding Jay-Z's rape lawsuit.
Jay-Z and Sean 'Diddy' Combs are accused of raping a minor in a refiled lawsuit.
Tina Knowles, Beyoncé's mother, has stated that she does not like a post about her son-in-law, Jay-Z, being accused of raping a 13-year-old girl with Sean "Diddy" Combs.
On Dec. 8, it was discovered that Knowles' social media account had liked a post from ABC7 Chicago about the contents of the filing. On Dec. 9, Knowles did not confirm or deny liking the post but informed her fans that she had been hacked.
"I was hacked! Please be aware that anything unusual on my Instagram account is not from me."
Since Monday, she has removed her like and disabled the comment section on her post.
In October, a lawsuit was filed against Jay-Z, born Shawn Carter, in which an anonymous accuser claimed that he "raped" her while Combs and "Celebrity B" were present. The lawsuit was refiled on Sunday in New York.
The lawsuit initially claimed that Combs raped a minor with the assistance of "Celebrity A" and "Celebrity B." In the refiled lawsuit, Carter was identified as "Celebrity A."
In 2000, at an MTV VMAs after-party, the rapper was implicated in a rape allegation along with Diddy, according to the documents.
According to Planet Chronicle Digital, the music mogul filed a motion to dismiss the rape lawsuit on Dec. 9.
"As you all know I do not play about my family. So if you see something uncharacteristic of me. Just know that it is not me!" — Tina Knowles
In his motion to dismiss, Jay-Z accused Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzbee of running a "sprawling extortion scheme, whose goal is solely for financial gain."
In the motion to dismiss, Jay-Z claimed that he was the victim of an "extortionate campaign" that was "cynical and calculated to force payment of an exorbitant sum of money – Defendant would have to pay X millions of dollars irrespective of the truth, or else …"
The unnamed Plaintiff and her self-promoting counsel, whose name has been widely publicized, went to great lengths to prevent Defendant from defending himself fairly. However, their efforts were unsuccessful.
"Defendant respectfully requests either the dismissal of allegations or the disclosure of Plaintiff's identity because the tactic used is inconsistent with a genuine effort to determine truth or falsity, and instead seeks a quick, extortionate settlement. Fairness demands it."
"Jay-Z, aka Defendant Shawn Carter, has an unblemished reputation and has never been accused of or involved in any sexual misconduct."
Alex Spiro, Jay-Z's powerful lawyer, recently defended Alec Baldwin in his involuntary manslaughter trial.
The lawsuit claimed that Jay-Z was present during the incidents described and that both perpetrators must be held accountable. It is alleged that the music moguls are so close that Combs stated in 2023 that Carter is the only person, aside from Combs' mother, who is permitted to address him by his legal first name of 'Sean.'
The lawsuit alleges that Combs and Carter took turns assaulting the minor, while many others were present at the afterparty but did not intervene.
A 13-year-old girl was dropped off at Radio City Music Hall by a friend to attend the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000. She attempted to gain entry to the venue by approaching limousine drivers waiting outside the celebrity-filled event.
"The lawsuit stated that one of the limousine drivers she spoke to said he worked for Diddy and told her that Combs preferred younger girls. He also said she fit what Diddy was looking for, but did not allow her into the Awards, but invited her to an afterparty."
Upon arrival at the party, the 13-year-old recognized many celebrities but was not given a copy of the non-disclosure agreement.
At the time, Combs would have been 30 years old. He allegedly tried to make the girl perform oral sex on him. However, she hit him in the neck, causing him to stop.
Diddy was indicted on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. If convicted, he could receive a minimum of 15 years in prison or a lifetime sentence.
