At the age of 99, David Graham, the voice actor known for his roles in "Thunderbirds" and "Peppa Pig," has passed away.
The voice behind the Daleks in 'Doctor Who' was Graham.
According to reports, David Graham, who voiced characters on television shows "Thunderbirds" and "Peppa Pig," has passed away at the age of 99.
David Graham, the legendary voice of Parker, Gordon Tracy, Brains, and many more, has passed away. This news has left us deeply saddened, as confirmed by Jamie Anderson, the son of late "Thunderbirds" creator Gerry Anderson, on X.
"We will miss David dearly as he was always a wonderful friend to us at Anderson Entertainment. Our thoughts are with his loved ones."
In the 1960s, Aloysius Parker was voiced by Graham in the family adventure series "Thunderbirds."
In the '60s and '70s, the actor provided the voice for the Daleks in "Doctor Who."
From 2004 to 2021, Graham was most recognized for portraying Grandpa Pig in the animated series "Peppa Pig," which was popular among children.
Graham’s cause of death is unknown at this time.
In 2015, The Mirror reported that prior to his death, Graham described how he developed the "intimidating voice of the evil Daleks" with Peter Hawkins, another voice actor. They adopted a staccato style and fed it through a synthesizer to make it more sinister.
In the first "Doctor Who" series with William Hartnell, Graham appeared in two episodes as an actor.
At the National Theatre, Graham worked with Laurence Olivier.
"Graham, a wonderful man, shared with the media outlet at the time that he had auditioned for him and said, 'Are you doing anything at the moment?' as if I was the most in-demand actor in the country. I don't know if his children were fans of Thunderbirds."
At the time, Graham stated that he loved comedy and there were many laughs in Parker due to his villainy and roguishness. He also voiced Brains and Gordon Tracy.
As Grandpa Pig in "Peppa Pig," Graham was proud of his work.
Even though it's a cartoon or puppet, it's important to take it seriously. I take it as seriously as working at the National Theatre.
