Artem Chigvintsev, a professional dancer on 'DWTS,' was arrested for domestic violence three days after celebrating his wedding anniversary.
In 2022, a 'Dancing with the Stars' pro tied the knot with a 'Total Divas' star.
Artem Chigvintsev has been arrested for domestic violence in Napa County, Calif.
On Thursday, the "Dancing with the Stars" pro, who married "Total Divas" star Nikki Bella in 2022, was arrested at approximately 9:40 am for domestic violence or corporal injury to a spouse, former spouse, cohabitant, former cohabitant, or the mother or father of his or her child, according to records viewed by Planet Chronicle Digital.
At 10:40 am, the pro dancer was scheduled to perform. A bail of $25,000 has been set.
It is unclear if Bella was involved.
Planet Chronicle Digital did not receive an immediate response from the representatives of Chigvintsev, Bella, and "Dancing with the Stars" when requested for comment.
According to Planet Chronicle, Chigvintsev was not included in the plans for Season 33 of 'Dancing with the Stars,' which will air next month.
Two days after celebrating their two-year wedding anniversary, Bella, whose legal name is Nikki Garica, was arrested.
"The former WWE star shared on Instagram a video montage of their wedding day, accompanied by the song "Can't Help Falling In Love," and wrote, "I’ll never forget where I was when I asked Jesus about Artem. Having a conversation with He & God. How my feelings felt too soon. It all felt too fast. And then this song came on. And that’s when I knew that I was falling in love with him and that it was all meant to be.""
Chigvintsev penned a tribute, expressing: "My love, on this anniversary, I can't imagine my life without you. You are my everything."
The couple share one four-year-old son, Matteo.
In 2017, Chigvintsev and Bella met on season 25 of "DWTS" while they were partners together. Despite Bella being engaged to John Cena at the time, the couple eventually ended their engagement in 2018.
In November 2019, Bella and Chigvintsev got engaged while vacationing in Paris.
One year later, they welcomed their son, Matteo.
Bella has previously shared her struggles with postpartum depression, which affected her marriage at times.
"Bella admitted on her podcast, "The Bellas," in October 2020 that she felt bad for Artem because her actions made him feel terrible. She revealed that he wished she had come to him sooner and that he was sad about the fact that she never told him how she was feeling."
