Armie Hammer is "cognizant" that children may "detest" him after discovering the cannibalism scandal.
Elizabeth Chambers and Hammer share custody of their children, Harper, 10, and Ford, 7.
Armie Hammer's cannibalism scandal, which occurred four years ago, caused controversy and led the actor to consider how the rumors could affect his children's future.
On the "Your Mom’s House" podcast, he stated, "I am aware that my daughter and son will eventually go to therapy and say, 'I hate my dad, too.' And I'm like, 'F---. I'm trying here.'"
After his ex-wife, Elizabeth Chambers, posted a photo of him spending the holiday with his two children, Hammer is seen imitating Macaulay Culkin's shocked face in "Home Alone" with his son and daughter.
The two share daughter Harper, 10, and son Ford, 7.
After his cannibalism accusations, the "Social Network" actor, who has been in therapy, admitted he recently reflected on his actions.
"I also am well aware that my daughter and son are going to get to a certain point where they then do therapy, and then they go, 'I hate my dad, too.'" — Armie Hammer
He stated that certain behaviors of his may have originated from an unhealthy source, while others were simply an expression of his sexuality.
"I had to sift through everything and determine which parts were originating from a trauma source."
The cannibalism rumors about Hammer were partially admitted by him.
He admitted that somewhere within him, unconsciously, he desired to be caught.
Armie Hammer's mother claims that his acting was so bold that he would consume individuals.
"I did not relate to the image of me that was out there in the public. It was like, 'Look at them, they're like the Ralph Lauren family. They've got the perfect life, and the perfect house, and the perfect kids,'" Hammer said.
"I felt like an alien while scrolling through rope bondage pictures on Twitter. I was attracted to the idea of being caught and it was like I was signaling for attention. People would comment on how my likes were public, but I knew it. I was aware of my actions."
Hammer defended himself as a cannibal and argued that the public's reaction to his direct messages was misinterpreted.
"If anyone recorded bedroom conversations, specifically if people were having a little bit of sexy time, and they said something obscene, even if it was completely vanilla, and someone else read it out of context, everyone will think they are disgusting."
In his extended podcast interview, Hammer admitted to having fantasies about rope bondage and revealed that he practiced it on a mannequin he bought from a department store.
He said, "I love the idea that you are completely mine. Yes, I can do whatever I want, and you love it because you know you're mine."
This possession thing is fun to discuss, especially when you're drunk, stoned, or high at night and texting. While you're saying it, you chuckle to yourself, imagining cutting off their toe and keeping it as a souvenir, giving you a piece of them wherever you go, ha ha ha.
In 2017, a former girlfriend accused "Call Me by Your Name" star of sexual assault, claiming that he violently raped her for over four hours.
An anonymous Instagram account named "House of Effie" leaked online a series of text messages that allegedly detailed sexual fantasies, including references to rape, violence, and cannibalism, which led to the derailment of his career.
In 2023, another ex-girlfriend, Paige Lorenze, accused Hammer of branding her with a knife. Meanwhile, his ex-wife, Chambers, filed for divorce in 2020, months before abuse, rape, and cannibalistic fantasy allegations against Hammer were made public.
