An expert believes that Prince Harry missed an opportunity to mend the feud with Prince William.
Prince William and Prince Harry did not interact during the memorial service for Lord Robert Fellowes, who was Princess Diana's brother-in-law.
The tension between Prince Harry and Prince William is intensifying.
According to the BBC, on Aug. 30, the brothers managed to steer clear of another uncomfortable encounter with one another during the memorial service for Lord Robert Fellowes, Princess Diana's brother-in-law.
"According to royal expert Hilary Fordwich, the brothers were positioned at the rear of the church and remained separate, without communicating or appearing to glance at one another, as she shared with Planet Chronicle Digital."
"According to Kinsey Schofield, host of the "To Di For Daily" podcast, Prince William and Harry are not speaking to each other and their appearance was carefully planned to avoid interaction. The event was not a joint appearance but rather two family members showing respect in a personal capacity while off duty."
According to Christopher Andersen, author of "The King," Harry's attendance at the funeral was "proof positive" that the war between the Windsor brothers continues.
"Clearly, there is still a lot of animosity between them," he stated.
The rift between the brothers resulted from the royal departure of Harry and Meghan Markle in 2020, which they attributed to the excessive invasions and discriminatory behavior of the British press.
"With a paperback release of ‘Spare’ due in October, I think Harry really missed an opportunity to update the book with a sincere apology for all the hurt that he’s caused." — Kinsey Schofield, host of the To Di For Daily podcast
The publication of Harry's memoir, "Spare," further stoked the flames as he disclosed personal information about the royal family and the events that took place within the palace walls.
In the book, Harry claimed that in 2019, William referred to Meghan as "difficult" and "rude," and then grabbed him by the collar and knocked him down. Harry sustained injuries, including cuts and bruises, when he landed on a dog bowl. After the death of his father, Prince Philip, in 2021, the king pleaded with his brothers to reconcile and not make his final years a source of misery.
"Schofield stated that Prince Harry has irreparably harmed his relationship with his brother by releasing "Spare." Although Harry may deny his intention of hurting family members, quotes such as "his alarming baldness, more advanced than my own; his famous resemblance to Mummy, fading with time" were unnecessary and cruel. These remarks stemmed from a place of envy and bitterness."
Schofield believes that Harry missed an opportunity to update "Spare" with a sincere apology for the hurt caused.
Harry had another opportunity to face his brother earlier this summer.
In June, the Duke of Westminster and Olivia Henson got married at Chester Cathedral in northern England, and while the Duke of Sussex was invited, Harry declined to attend to avoid an "awkward" encounter with William.
Anderson stated to Planet Chronicle Digital in June that even if Harry attended and sat in the back row, the media coverage and excitement surrounding the two brothers being present would eclipse the wedding.
"Harry's presence would have turned the affair into a media circus, and he didn't want to do that to his friend. If he learned that Harry had accepted the invitation, it's likely that William would have backed out. Harry knows this."
""William is not willing to give an inch, as evidenced by the lack of any indication that he is willing to compromise," he concluded."
The brothers did not communicate or acknowledge each other during the king's coronation in May.
Hillary Fordwich suggests that Prince Harry should "take the high road" and be there for Kate.
Harry flew to the U.K. to visit King Charles after his cancer diagnosis in February, but was not permitted to stay at any royal homes.
It was reported in the UK Sunday Times this month that the Prince of Wales intends to make his coronation "look and feel different" when he eventually becomes king.
A close friend of William revealed to the outlet that he does not want the Duke of Sussex to be present.
One of the brothers' closest friends claimed to an outlet that they are estranged, which is dreadfully sad.
The author has revealed that King Charles regrets how Prince Harry was raised.
Although there is animosity between the brothers, I believe that when the time comes, William will not exclude his only sibling, who is fifth in line to the throne, from his coronation, as Andersen stated to Planet Chronicle Digital.
