After giving birth to her second child with Bruce Willis, Demi Moore lost baby weight by riding a bike 60 miles a day.
While filming 'Indecent Proposal,' Moore worked long hours and commuted to and from her Malibu home on a bike.
Demi Moore went to extremes to lose weight after giving birth.
The actress, now 61, disclosed that after she delivered her second child with Bruce Willis, she would cycle 30 miles from their Malibu home to a Hollywood studio, then return the same distance after filming ended for the day.
"Moore admitted in an interview with "CBS Sunday Morning" that she put a lot of pressure on herself and had experiences of being told to lose weight, which were embarrassing and humiliating, but were ultimately self-inflicted."
While filming "Indecent Proposal" in 1993, Moore went on long bike rides, and she mentioned that her daughter Scout was around five to six months old at the time.
"I spent the night feeding her, waking up in the dark with a trainer and a headlamp, biking to Paramount, even on location where we were shooting, and shooting a full day, which is usually a 12-hour day, before starting all over again."
The notion of what I did to my body is so bizarre and absurd, she said.
"I put so much pressure on myself, and I did have experiences of being told to lose weight, and all of those, while they may have been embarrassing and humiliating, it's what I did to myself because of that." — Demi Moore
Tracy Smith, a CBS correspondent, suggested that Moore believed "it was what was required at the time," and she agreed, but later added, "But you look back and you kind of go, ‘Did it really matter that much? Probably not.'"
"At the time, I made it mean everything," added Moore.
Moore welcomed three daughters with Willis: Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah. After divorcing Willis in 2000, she married actor Ashton Kutcher in 2005. They divorced in 2013, and she has never remarried.
When asked about her thoughts when looking in the mirror, she replied, "It varies. Sometimes I feel good about my appearance, while other times I scrutinize and focus on things I dislike."
I can now catch myself and acknowledge that I don't like loose skin. However, I understand that it is what it is, so I will make the best of what I have instead of chasing what I don't.
As a child, Moore would often express dissatisfaction with her facial features, describing her face as "chubby" and lacking "angles." She now laughs about it, saying that her face has simply become "loose."
She remarked, "I wouldn't mind some chubbiness back, in the right places."
Moore discussed her current relationship with Willis during her interview, which was held in February 2023. At that time, his family had revealed that he had been diagnosed with dementia.
Moore emphasized the importance of meeting her partner where he is currently, rather than being fixated on who he used to be. She stated, "It's crucial to be present and appreciate the person he is now, rather than mourning the past."
