Jelly Roll is saying goodbye to stress.
The country star sealed the deal by throwing his phone into the river after deciding to take a technology break.
"Jelly Roll stated on Bunnie Xo's podcast "Dumb Blonde" that he is confident in saying he won't have a phone throughout the year 2025, even though it may not be the healthiest way to do it."
After asking his driver to take him to the Cumberland River, Jelly Roll made these comments.
"He was overwhelmed by the hundreds of text messages he received daily, causing him to feel guilty for missing them."

If the "Beautifully Broken Tour" is successful, the "Son of a Sinner" singer previously stated that he would throw his phone off the Shelby Street Bridge.
Jelly Roll's wife revealed during the podcast that this wasn't the first time he disposed of his phone. She also stated that individuals would contact her in an attempt to communicate with Jelly Roll.
"For nearly a decade, I've had the same number. My husband, on the other hand, has had approximately 17," she stated.
Jelly Roll stated, "I would avoid checking my text messages because I knew there were many, and it was too stressful. Instead, I would mindlessly scroll or get caught up in news alerts on my phone."
Jelly Roll intended to utilize a flip phone in 2025, as he thought it would be beneficial for his health. He planned to use his phone as a means of dissociating.
The person from Nashville, Tennessee, stated that using the phone does not aid him in becoming the individual he desires to be.
"I aspire to improve as a spouse, parent, person, and artist."
Bunnie FaceTimed her on Nov. 27 and then threw his phone over the bridge.
I frequently toss my phone around... 'Mama, I adore you, baby, I adore you,' he said on the phone.

In the podcast, Jelly Roll, born Jason Bradley DeFord, stated that he would not let his weight determine his future success.
"He wore it for so long and wanted to be honest about his struggles with it publicly, he told his wife."
The "Save Me" singer, who has lost 100 pounds, explained that people who become as big as he did and then lose weight may feel ashamed.
"They feel ashamed, so they hide and lose weight, but when they return, they struggle to interact with the world due to their different appearance or feelings. They must discover a new way to cope."
Jelly Roll's new goal was to become a cover model for "Men's Health" by March 2026, which he shared with his wife, who supported his ambition.
