After announcing his farewell tour, a rare family photo of Rod Stewart surfaces.

Rod Stewart is gearing up for the holidays with his family.

The rock star, who is 79 years old, took a rare photo with his wife, Penny Lancaster, and their two sons, Alastair Wallace, 19, and Aiden Patrick, 13, while they visited a Christmas tree farm to select the ideal tree for their home.

Lancaster shared a photo on her Instagram story, accompanied by the caption "Merry Christmas" and the tune of "Let It Snow" playing in the background.

In the photo, Stewart is wearing a white snow jacket with brown fur lining the hood and a blue sweater underneath. His sons are wearing black jackets, while Lancaster has a black version of Stewart's puffer jacket with black fur along the hood.

Stewart has eight children with five different mothers, including daughters Sarah, Kimberly, Ruby, and Renee, and sons Alastair, Aiden, Sean, and Liam.

In June, the "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" singer was reunited with all eight of his children at his son Liam's wedding in Croatia. He shared a photo on Instagram of him with his children, wife, Liam's mother, model Rachel Hunter, whom he was married to from 1990 to 2006, and Liam's new wife, Nicole Artukovich, celebrating at the ceremony.

"I am thrilled to have seen my son Liam's stunning wedding to Nicole. The union of the Stewarts and Artukoviches is a beautiful example of love and happiness. May they continue to find joy, love, and laughter in their lives, and may their family grow with many more children, just like their one-year-old son, Louie."

In an interview with Haute Living in November 2023, Stewart revealed his parenting style, describing himself as a "lenient" father.

""I'm not as strict with my kids as my parents were, especially my dad, but I'm very lenient and none have gotten into serious trouble. A few experimented with drugs, but that's all in the past," he stated."

In 1963, he welcomed his first child, Sarah, with his ex-girlfriend Susannah Boffey. However, they put her up for adoption, later reconnecting with her when her adoptive parents died. He also welcomed Kimberly and Sean with ex-wife Alana Stewart.

Stewart welcomed his daughter Ruby with his ex-girlfriend Kelly Emberg, and then his ex-wife Hunter with Renee and Liam. Due to the large age gaps between his children, Stewart told People in 2021 he has been "several different fathers."

"As a dad, I've learned to listen and not blow my top," he said. "It's important to treat each person as an individual with their own unique problems."
