Adele has partial hearing loss in one ear due to a rare infection.
During her Las Vegas residency, Adele disclosed her health challenges.
Adele is experiencing what could be a singer's worst nightmare.
Over the weekend, the singer performed in her Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace and revealed to the audience that she's currently experiencing hearing loss in her left ear due to an infection.
She informed the concertgoers in a video shared by a fan that she actually has an ear infection, which is quite disheartening.
"She pointed to her left ear and said, "I've never had one before. It's the most painful thing that's ever happened to me in my life, even worse than childbirth.""
She explained that it's a rare water bacteria that is difficult to treat. She was on the wrong antibiotics for a few days, but they eventually gave her one that started to work. She's a bit deaf, specifically in her left ear.
Adele revealed that she had been adjusting the monitors in her ears because she was experiencing hearing difficulties.
She confessed to feeling "very sorry for myself" and wanting to "chop my ear off a couple of times," but she still didn't want to miss the concert.

During her six-week break from her residency in Las Vegas, the "Rolling in the Deep" singer contracted an infection.
During a concert, Adele was surprised to discover that Celine Dion was present, in addition to discussing her health issues.
Adele burst into tears upon seeing Dion, who was sitting near the control board in a video posted to social media.
The two living legends shared an emotional embrace, holding each other's hands and then tenderly cupping one another's faces before the Brit tried to continue her performance. In an alternatively angled video, Dion can be seen crying too.
Céline Dion was so overwhelmed with emotion that Adele asked the audience to help her sing. "Give it up for Miss Céline Dion," Adele told the crowd as she made her way back to the stage. The audience went wild for Dion, who eventually stood up from her seat and waved to the room.
The singer, who had her own Vegas residency in the same spot years ago, marveled at the reaction she received after announcing her diagnosis with Stiff-person syndrome in December 2022, which prompted her removal from the public eye for an extensive amount of time.
Adele has eight shows remaining before concluding her residency at Caesars Palace. After her final concert on Nov. 23, she intends to take an indefinite break from performing.
In Munich, she informed her fans that she had 10 shows to perform, but after that, she would be absent for an extended period, and she would cherish their relationship forever.
