Actor John Capodice, known for his roles in 'Seinfeld' and 'Ace Ventura,' has passed away at the age of 83.
An actor who appeared in numerous shows such as 'General Hospital,' 'Law & Order,' and 'Boy Meets World' is highly productive.
John Capodice, who starred in "Seinfeld," "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective," and "General Hospital," has passed away at the age of 83.
On Dec. 30, an obituary posted by the Pizzi Funeral Home in Northvale, New Jersey, announced that Capodice had passed away.
A cause of death was not disclosed.
The obituary stated that John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.
Capodice, born in Chicago in 1941, served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966 and fought in the Korean War.
Since the 1970s, Capodice has been a busy actor, appearing in numerous TV shows and films, including "Ryan's Hope," "Diagnosis Murder," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Law & Order," "Living Single," "Melrose Place," "Ellen," "Mad About You," "Boy Meets World," and "Will & Grace." According to iMDB, he worked on over 150 projects from 1978 to 2024.
In the 1991 episode "The Revenge" of "Seinfeld," actor Capodice played the owner of a laundromat that Kramer tried to sabotage. His character was accused of stealing $1,500 from a laundry bag in the sitcom.
Jim Carrey's character was mocked by an actor named Capodice in "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective," who had previously starred in "Wall Street," "Family Business," "The Doors," "Speed," and "Independence Day."
He was a member of the Blauvelt Sons of Italy, Rockland Lodge 2176.
Capodice was survived by his wife, Jane, and daughters, Tessa De Pierro and Cassandra Hansen. He was a "proud grandfather" to four grandchildren: David, Jake, Frankie, and Giuliana.
