A-list celebrities named in Jeffrey Epstein's documents
Several high-profile celebrities, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, and Naomi Campbell, are mentioned in the documents but not implicated in any wrongdoing.
Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein's former lover and accomplice, is named in a trove of newly released documents relating to Virginia Giuffre's lawsuit against Epstein. Among the A-list celebrities whose names appear in the documents are Leonardo DiCaprio, Bruce Willis, and Michael Jackson.
Despite being withheld from the public eye in the lawsuit, Epstein had many high-profile connections, including former U.S. presidents, foreign prime ministers, Britain's Prince Andrew, Hollywood stars, leading academics, people in the modeling and fashion industries, and other public figures. Some of these names were previously known through other means.
Numerous individuals with no accusations of wrongdoing bear the same names.
The court documents, obtained by Planet Chronicle Digital, reveal the names of the celebrities who were mentioned by Giuffre and another alleged Epstein victim, Johanna Sjoberg.
A review of the 40 documents featuring the mentioned celebrities.
Naomi Campbell
In a deposition on May 3, 2016, Giuffre stated that she traveled abroad with Maxwell and Epstein, including multiple trips to France. During a trip to southern France, Giuffre alleged that she had sexual contact with Maxwell prior to attending a birthday party for supermodel Naomi Campbell.
"Giuffre stated in her deposition that the sexual encounter with Jeffrey Epstein did not occur at Naomi Campbell's birthday party."
In 2019, Campbell revealed that she was acquainted with Epstein and had met him through her ex-boyfriend, Flavio Briatore.
"Campbell stated in a YouTube video that what he had done was unjustifiable. He was horrified when he learned of his actions, as he had experienced sexual predators himself and was grateful for the people who protected him. Now, he stands with the victims and understands the long-lasting impact that such actions can have on a person's life."
Campbell remarked on the photos of herself with Epstein, stating, "It's astonishing that out of the countless individuals I've posed with for a photo at a public event, only these select few were chosen."
The conclusion is that if the negative actions of others can make you guilty by association, we live in concerning times. This affects everyone and is unfair. It must be stopped.
Campbell did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's immediate request for comment.
Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Bruce Willis and Cameron Diaz
During her deposition, Jeffrey Epstein accuser Johanna Sjoberg mentioned Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Bruce Willis, and Cameron Diaz in the same line of questioning, but none of them are accused of wrongdoing.
"Sjoberg stated that she did not meet the individuals in question when asked. When she spoke about them, it was during a massage session with Epstein, and he would frequently be on the phone at that time. On one occasion, he mentioned Leonardo, Cate Blanchett, or Bruce Willis."
Sjoberg pointed out that Epstein was "mentioning" famous individuals and that she had not interacted with any of them.
She was later asked if she had met Cameron Diaz and she replied, "No."
A representative for the actress stated that she never met Jeffrey Epstein, was never in the same place as him, and had no association with him, despite any claims he may have made about knowing her.
Planet Chronicle Digital did not receive a response from the representatives of DiCaprio, Blanchett, and Willis when requested for comment.
George Lucas
The "Star Wars" franchise creator, George Lucas, was mentioned in the newly released documents.
Sjoberg denied meeting the filmmaker, and there was no suggestion of wrongdoing.
Planet Chronicle Digital did not receive a response from a representative for Lucas when requested for comment.
Michael Jackson
Sjoberg also mentioned Michael Jackson. She confirmed meeting the late pop star at Epstein's Palm Beach home, but denied giving him a massage.
Planet Chronicle Digital did not receive a response from a representative of Jackson's estate.
Kevin Spacey
Despite being named in the documents, Sjoberg stated that she never met Kevin Spacey.
Lawrence Paul Visoski Jr., Epstein's former pilot, previously named Spacey during testimony for Maxwell's sex trafficking trial in 2021, stating that Spacey had once flown in one of Epstein's planes.
Planet Chronicle Digital did not receive a response from Spacey's representative.
