A country singer is accused of breaking his bond to attend the CMAs; a judge orders a warrant for his arrest.
In April, Austin Tanner was indicted on two counts of insurance fraud and attempted theft of property. Now, it is alleged that he violated the travel conditions of his bond.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Austin Tanner, a country music singer who aspires to become famous, due to allegations that he violated his bond conditions by attending the 2024 CMA Awards.
An Alabama judge issued a warrant for Tanner's arrest on Nov. 26, following the singer's travel to Nashville for the awards show on Nov. 20 without seeking court approval, as per documents obtained by Planet Chronicle Digital.
In April, Tanner was indicted on two counts of insurance fraud and attempted theft of property. He was released on a $20,000 bond with the condition not to leave the state without court permission. Tanner was fully aware of this condition.
According to the documents, the State argues that there is proof that the Defendant left Alabama on or around November 20, 2024, as indicated by the photos he posted on Facebook and Instagram.
"The State seeks to revoke the bond of the Defendant, who was knowledgeable about the travel conditions but disregarded them publicly."
On the red carpet at the CMAs, Tanner and Skyla posed for a photo which he shared on social media on Nov. 21.
"The CMA Awards were nothing short of magical last night as we walked the red carpet. This moment marked a dream come true!" he captioned his post.
When offenders violate bond conditions, they must be held accountable to ensure the safety of the community and the integrity of the justice system, as stated by Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood in a statement to Planet Chronicle Digital.
Planet Chronicle Digital did not receive an immediate response from Tanner's attorney.
A hearing to revoke Tanner's bond was scheduled for December 4th.
