Five individuals were rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard after a boat collision on Monday night in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, and a search is currently underway for three additional people.
According to Fox 61, the Coast Guard rescued five boaters and transported them to a hospital for treatment.
A search is being conducted to find the three missing men who did not wear life jackets, as stated by the Coast Guard.
The boat, traveling at a high speed, collided with a break wall and disintegrated, resulting in injuries to the five occupants, according to the Coast Guard.

The Coast Guard stations in New London and Cape Cod are assisting with the search, while the Old Saybrook Fire Department is leading the investigation.
