Sam Franklin Jr., the captain of the Carolina Panthers, was restrained from rushing towards the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' locker room after an overtime loss to their NFC South rivals.
Jose Ramirez, the Bucs linebacker, was the target of Franklin's frustration, which he expressed in a viral video on social media.
"Franklin yelled, "I'm gonna see his a--!" to other Bucs players, exclaiming, "On my grave, boy!""
Franklin was pushed back toward the Panthers' locker room by a staffer, causing him to become angry.
The animosity between these rivals was evident in a separate video where veteran Bucs wide receiver Sterling Shepard was shouting expletives toward the Panthers’ locker room following Franklin's outburst.
The Bucs emerged victorious in the thrilling rivalry matchup with a game-winning field goal, after the Panthers had the ball following a missed 55-yarder by Chase McLaughlin earlier in overtime.
Despite being a driving force on offense for Carolina, who has had a breakout season, Chuba Hubbard fumbled in Tampa Bay territory. Yaya Diaby recovered the loose ball, giving the Bucs another chance to win the game.
With a long run, Rachaad White got deep into Panthers' territory, and McLaughlin seized his second chance from 30 yards out to win the game.
The Bucs, with their victory, now share the NFC South lead with the Falcons, who lost to the Chargers on Sunday.
