Lamar Jackson of the Ravens reveals that his mother was upset with him after their loss to the Eagles and scolded him.
Jackson attempted 36 passes and 8 runs.
On Sunday evening, the Baltimore Ravens failed to win despite Lamar Jackson's ability to run the ball against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Since the October loss to the Cleveland Browns, Jackson has thrown the ball the most times, with a total of 36 throws. He also ran the ball eight times, resulting in 76 yards.
After the game, Felicia Jones, his mother, gave him an earful about not running the ball more in the loss.
"My momma just told me that she cussed me out. I'm mad and we're going to get after it. I won't lie, we're going to get after it. I can't wait for the bye to come. We have the Giants next, and I'm ready to go," he said via the Ravens' website.
"She suggested I take different lanes and run, but I was just trying to let guys develop routes. We were working on developing routes, but she was right."
He felt that the team left a lot of scoring opportunities unexplored.
The reigning NFL MVP fell to 23-2 against the NFC as a starter.
"Nakobe Dean, the Eagles linebacker, stated that we didn't keep a spy on him and we didn't do anything extra," he said.
