Young girl's mother accuses Cruz of taking her life through his immigration policies.
In June, two illegal migrants were accused of strangling and tossing a 12-year-old girl off a bridge.
The mother of Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old girl who was allegedly murdered by illegal immigrants, is weighing in on the Texas Senate race and blames Democratic policies for the loss of her daughter.
In June, two illegal immigrants from Venezuela were charged with capital murder for strangling and throwing off a bridge Jocelyn Nungaray from Texas.
In a new campaign ad, Alexis Nungaray shares the heart-wrenching story of her daughter's death at the hands of Venezuelan nationals who illegally crossed the southern border.
Nungaray stated that her "heart would shatter" if Democratic Texas Senate candidate Rep. Colin Allred defeats Sen. Ted Cruz in the November election.
In June, two illegal immigrants allegedly strangled Jocelyn Nungaray and then threw her off a bridge, according to police.
Jocelyn was brutally murdered by two illegal migrants who were released on the same days they were detained. Despite being found only 30 days later, she was discovered naked in the bayou. Her feet were bound, and she was left there, uncared for. This tragic event occurred due to the catch and release policy. The Win It Back PAC, a Club for Growth-affiliated fundraising group, released a new campaign ad featuring this story.
Allred's policies were highlighted by Nungaray in relation to the ongoing migrant crisis.
"Colin Allred's policy ultimately led to my daughter's death. Although Allred did not directly kill her, his policies were the reason for her death. If Allred is elected, my heart will break again."
Nungaray's murder was previously referred to as a "tragedy" by Allred, who later tried to shift the blame onto Cruz by claiming the murder was used as a "political attack."
Earlier this month, Nungaray testified before the House Judiciary Committee about her daughter's death and criticized the Biden-Harris administration's border policy.
"The Biden-Harris administration's open border policies and catch and release led to the enrollment of the individuals in the Alternatives to Detention program, resulting in their release into the United States. Tragically, just three weeks later, they would take the life of Jocelyn Nungaray's daughter."
Jocelyn, my daughter, was unaware that she had a target on her back as she was seen on video by the murder suspects at 12:57 a.m. on June 17th, walking across the street near the bayou under the bridge. Only two illegal immigrants were seen emerging at 3:04, and they remained there for two hours. I can't comprehend the terror Jocelyn must have felt in her final moments.
