Walz's wife faces criticism for her 'condescending' campaign speech.
One critic joked, "I'm sorry you have to watch this clip of Gwen Walz."
Gwen Walz, the first lady of Minnesota, faced criticism for her campaign speech in which she urged people to move on from former President Trump and focus on the future.
Gwen Walz was criticized as the "living manifestation of Trump Derangement Syndrome" during a speech for her husband, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, and Vice President Kamala Harris in Wisconsin on Saturday.
In her speech, Gwen Walz mentioned Harris' debate performance last week and how she frequently stated that the election is the moment to "turn the page" on the current political environment.
Gwen Walz stated, "You likely watched the debate the other night, which was excellent. Kamala Harris emphasized the need to turn the page because something exciting is on the horizon."
"She did this, and I kinda like it," Minnesota's first lady said, mimicking turning a book page. "Turn the page."
Gwen Walz urged the audience to mimic turning a page with her while stating that the Democratic Party has 52 days to do so regarding Trump's presidential campaign.
"What else does that resemble?" Walz inquired as she continued waving her arms. "Goodbye, goodbye, Donald Trump," she shouted.
"We are turning the page," she added.
Gwen Walz's speech was widely criticized as "cringe" and "1000x worse than Hillary Clinton."
Since 2019, Gwen Walz has been the first lady of Minnesota, having married her husband, Tim Walz, who became governor in that year.
This election cycle, Gwen Walz's unearthed clip of her handling the 2020 Minnesota riots went viral and caused a stir on social media.
"During the riots, Walz's wife experienced more sleepless nights, as she could smell the burning tires and kept the windows open as a reminder of the events unfolding."
The remarks were criticized as "bizarre" on social media by both critics and conservatives.
"What word best describes reveling in the catharsis represented by the torching of other people's property?"
Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk described the comments as "weird."
The Harris-Walz campaign declined to comment on Planet Chronicle Digital's request.
